Instagram Error

Hey,

So I'm trying to create an instagram account to promote my content, however, I seem to be having an issue with just accessing the login/sign up page in the first place.

Generally what happens is that I go onto the website where it then proceeds to spam itself constantly with the "Review and Agree" message and refreshing the page every second until eventually their site just times out with the message:

{"message":"Please wait a few minutes before trying again.","status":"fail"}

I've turned off ad-blocker, tried VPN, a different web browser but no luck.

Has anyone else been having this issue?

Are you on Tapas web, or Tapas App? or it is Instagram issue?

Instagram is the issue, can't access their site at all basically.

That could be an issue with your operating system or the application/browser. Older software sometimes cannot execute the scripts used in webpages & your problem as you described it sounds like your software isn't working with the webpage software.

I am not access my Instagram on Tapas web. It shows errors many time.

Think I'll check if anything on my machine requires updating and try it then.

Unless your machine is 20 years old, this isn't likely. Browsers are kept up to date automatically. OP likely would have issues posting on the forum here as well if this were the case, as it also runs with javascript (99% of the modern web does, actually).

@AlexanderWythe what browser are you using?

Browsers can fall behind on updates & if the OS is old enough the updates won't load. As to not being able to use the forums, I was able to access, read & comment in forums using even a Windows XP laptop but there were some buttons on the main Tapas pages that misbehaved, though, and editing story episodes became impossible (using a newer computer now). I was even able to use a lot of Instagram but again, some buttons failed to operate correctly. It always seemed to me that scripts were one of the first signs that a browser was becoming too outdated.

That's because javascript was probably turned off, and only things that didn't use javascript were working (Not sure if Tapas uses AJAX, if it does you're dead in the water without javascript.) That's why I said the bit about a 20 year old machine. Regardless, looks like OP got an error back from the server and it's not a browser error. They got back a JSON response and it likely came with a 3xx, 4xx, or 5xx error (I'm guessing 508 based on OP's description of the problem - but I could be wrong, I can't really determine that definitively).

Firefox, but I also tried on Edge and got the same problem.

Can't say for sure without actually sitting at your computer, but it sounds like an issue on their end. Got a phone you can try it on instead?
