Introvert, Extrovert or Ambivert?

It says on my test, I am an ambivert.

But...
- I like one-on-one conversation.
- I like to draw alone in a room or while nobody's lookin'.
- I'm quiet in class.
- I was called to be a "good" person.
- I liked going to malls, sometimes I do not.
- I want to make friends, but I don't like groups.
- People ask me that "Why am I quiet?" All I can ever say is, "What do you mean? I make friends too!"
- I "try hard" to make friends because my other closest friends told me so.
- I'm shy.
- Sometimes when it's cold, I cover a blanket all over myself.
- I don't like books that much, but comic books depending on the genre.
- I sometimes feel that I'm being left out.

(Anyone could relate to this?)

Introvert.Back when I'm a kid-teen's I'm quite anti-social.
Most people at my workplace might be shocked since I'm the most HOOHAAH person around at work.

But if i go out with my friends I prefer to sit quietly and listen to the conversations at the table,sipping on drinks.

IF they manage to drag me out...I prefer to laze around in my room on my off day,surfing the net/youtube and Drawing my comic page....SOCIAL LIFE IS SOOO OVERATED anyways.(Did i just sound like a hikkimori?)

I imagine most people drawing comics have to be introverts in order to deal with the depressingly lonely hours behind a drafting table.

Introvert. I had to take speech classes in elementary school because everyone was worried since I didn't talk very much. I only talked around family or at home, at school I hardly spoke. I had very few friends growing up, but they were close friends. Even now people ask "Why are you so quiet?" or "What's the matter that's making you so silent?" It can get very annoying, I always reply, "I have nothing to say, so I;m just enjoying being quiet". I'm not one of those people who will talk just for the sake of hearing my voice, I'll talk when it's needed. The only person I mindlessly ramble to is my husband lol I can't stand crowds or large groups, I'll shrink away from them or get anxiety when I'm among them for long periods of time. But if I'm able to prepare a few hours in advance, then I can be fine in crowds or if there's a corner I can hide in XD

I HATE that. People thinking there's something 'wrong' just because you can't think of things to say. There's nothing wrong with being more of a listener than a jabberbox, consarnit! XO

But yeah, Introvert here, too. Not only do I need recharge time and enjoy my solitude, but I also happen to be a shy stuttery mess who has trouble keeping a conversation going. So it's even harder. x__x;

Though strangely, I actually always felt more comfortable hanging out in groups than doing one-on-one meetups...because then it feels like less pressure since all eyes are not just on me the whole time (err, usually...kind of depends on the group, and this doesn't really go for group work or making a presentation to a group of people, guhh),...do any other Introverts feel the same way? I always felt different only in this area. Unless they're people who are really....not my people, I'm not one to hide in a corner or feel left out. I'm always content to listen and maybe jump in once in blue moon (as long as they don't get on my case about 'being quiet' once again). XP

Same. Especially since I seem to have a resting bitch face, people assume there's something wrong. I'm one of the quietest (and nicest, mind you) people you'd ever meet. Haha.

I'm fairly introverted. I can summon extroversion when needed but it takes a LOT out of me.

Extreme introvert, but because I live in America and wanted to be a musician I had to learn how to put on that extrovert mask. I feel like I can fake it very well now, but it's still a lie and not me at all. The majority of people I meet are wonderful people, but being around more than one person for any length of time wears me out something fierce!

I'm an introvert by choice because when I talk to people I often get nervous and say things that seem funny at the time, but then I realize how immature or even offensive it might have been. I try to avoid it if I can.

Wow. I didn't know about the ambivert thing. I googled it and yeah... that pretty much nails it.
Sometimes I'm way too loud and won't stop talking... on the other hand I really need to be all by myself every now and then. Some time.. not too much or I will get in a bad mood too XD I love talking to people..but I hate smalltalk... so so so much. Why would people talk about things they are not interested in?

But keac, why would you say you're an ambivert? Of course it's always a point of view and it's not like there is one drawer for each word, but what you mentioned sounds more introvert. It's not like introverts don't have friends, decide not to have friends or don't like people around them in general.^^

I'm extremely introverted XP It is quite the inconvenience, seeing how often I have to be in large crowds and talk with lots of people.

Schools tried to do the same thing to me as a kid, when I was 5 up until age 8 I was actually an elective mute because of social anxiety so I ended up getting put in special classes.
I too can't stand being in large groups or crowds >m<' makes me really nervous.
As for people who always ask why your quiet or if your okay I tend to get annoyed by it too.
It's like y'know I was doing just fine until you asked >_> I still have social anxiety but most of the time I'm just genuinely not interested in being social, I like doing my own thing.

I'm an introvert (not an ambivert) who is not shy. A lot of people conflate the two together even though they are two separate things. You can be a shy extrovert (which I imagine must be miserable...), an outgoing extrovert, a shy introvert, or a non-shy introvert.

Shy means you have trouble speaking up/ jumping in even when you want to.
Introvert means you're not particularly interested in speaking up/ jumping in most of the time.

I guess I'm close to an outgoing introvert. I can socialise somewhat fine and even though I abhor small talk, I do it when the situation calls for it.

But when I get asked to join them for more drinks at a different place after dinner and drinks with some people, I go, "Naw bruh, I left the Zelkats charger at home. Gotta go before I die lol."

Yeah, I'm like that too. I once lost my job because I wasn't best friends with my colleagues. I didn't have lunch with the group or go out for Friday night drinks. And it wasn't even that I was unfriendly, I made it clear that I had outside interests that I devoted my spare time to. I really hate that in-group / out-group mentality.

Ambivert, solid. I like being around people, and I like being alone. I can sit in my room and do the creative work that I need to do, but I can also engage perfect strangers in conversation and do a good sales job, as long as I believe in the product.
