No prob! I’m glad you found my comments helpful.
I am going for a dark comedy with this series. The main characters are meant to be immortals that are losing their sense humanity, so they’re going to end up doing some pretty awful things. The series is also meant to be a riff on the adult animated cartoon genre, specifically long running series (Family Guy, The Simpsons). I’m not seeking out to be as graphic/offensive as possible, I just try to think up characters/stories that would be interesting to explore, and then as I write it, my sense of humor just often goes into that direction.
Did you find any of it funny? Comedy is really hard for me to write, I’m always revising and worrying if any of the things being said/done are funny or not. I don’t need every joke to be a gangbuster, but I want to make sure there’s enough humor that a reader is being entertained enough to keep reading.
I agree that I shouldn’t have uploaded the chapters like I did. It’s pretty vague to me what constitutes a “chapter/episode” of a webcomic. To me, a chapter would be the length of a chapter in a manga, or a comic book issue, yet most of the chapters I’ve read here are like an 8th the length of mine.
I still want this chapter length for the stories/characters I want to tell, but I’ll start uploading them only a third at a time. I think that’ll make the material easier digest in this format (and would also prob net me a lot more likes/views).
Thank you Bella. You’re the first person to give my comic honest feedback. Much appreciated. : )
