Hii guys, I need some help,_can't tell whether my male lead is good looking/hot

whether a character is "good looking" or not, is more often than not defined by the reactions of the other characters towards them! (since irl people have all sorts of standards for attractiveness)

I personally would not think much of him, since well, he has a generic face, relaxed expression, and very normal features.

and I think the rest of your characters will be drawn similarly. So it's more of a job of the writing and staging, to convey that he is "hot" in your story.

like, think of classic manga
all characters ARE drawn the same way.
but the "beautiful" ones get presented differently.

I was looking for the chapter in nozakikun where they talk about exactly that .. but uhhh here#s some where the attractiveness gets conveyed by comparison and through staging?

sjdhfkjdsh ikr, Nozakikun is one of my favourites for so many reasons!

oh and, since I'm just clicking through nozaki eps..

here's an example where mob characters just plain out say that a character is pretty.
in a more serious story, it would need more nuance and subtlety than that... but its a very valid way to set someone appart from the crowd :D.

That´s the wonderful thing about creating comics,
you as a creator decide if a character is hot or not,
it´s your vision of world you are creating.

Asterix is a good example, there are 3 good looking characters
in this picture and most people can tell because they look different
(more realistic body proportions) in this example

Your comic is your vision, your idea of hot is maybe not the hot of someone else.
I find the character a bit scary and nerdy looking and not my idea of a good looking person,
but that´s just me

I made a quick drawing of changes I would make to make him look better looking,
but that´s just my vision of it, it´s not meant as a critique. Your character also looks
younger than the version I drew. Eyebrows closer to the eyes, more dominant "manly"
features, smiling. Tastes are different.

If you would have asked me about the age I would have guessed under 16. Between 25-28 you would have to make him more manly,
but it looks a bit manga style and that´s a style I´m not too familiar with
