Is it bad to change your art style

hi im new to the forum and i decide to know more the community,
but here what i'm wanderin is it bad to change your art style you'll see for the last month i have received a lot of view around 600 to 800 but my subscriber count haven grow from 14,meaby is because when they reed a new comic the always start from the first one you publish to the last, like your reading a comic and BOOM drastic change maybe that's the reason nobody subscribe here my comic https://tapastic.com/series/the-outsiders

I think your style change is more of an art evolution really. It happens to every comic creator, and it can be dramatic or subtle changes but ultimately it's a change that will happen.

Think of it as ongoing art puberty. As you create more and more your skills refine and improve. Suddenly when you look back at your early pages, they don't look nearly as nice as they once did, because you've grown as an artist.

So I wouldn't worry about your style changing. Just focus on making the best comic you can, and improving along the way!

id say the art change isnt that noticeable, certainly not drastic, so thats probably not a problem. it does take a while to gain subscribers, and sometimes you can go weeks without a new one, so dont worry about it too much.

Art styles change over time, you learn more and decide to change things as your grow. When it comes to art styles changing in a comic over time, I personally enjoy seeing that happen, it's like watching the person grow as an artist and as a writer (wowzers!) And don't beat yourself up, your comic is actually pretty entertaining

It's definitely not bad to change your art style! In fact, that's how art styles are made. I'd much rather see myself improve comic-to-comic than stay in the same groove for the sake of unity, because that's just how I improve.

As you may know, cartoons are a little different than web comics. On a cartoon that you can watch on TV, what you're seeing is a group effort held together by mutual understanding and rules. This is why it is sometimes deemed unprofessional for cartoon shows to change their style. Web comics, however, don't have to have rules! You call all the shots and, to me, that makes them good shots.

Whenever I see a comic change styles, I'm always so happy for the artist! I love seeing someone improve/explore/experiment before my very eyes, and that makes me want to read your comic even more!

Art evolution is a totally natural part of growing up, you'll find new ways to draw old things, discover new tools and mediums and tecniques, you'll probably end up developing a variety of different styles that you enjoy working in (I have like, three or five, depending on how I count things.) Some people love long-running webcomics because they get to see record of an artists growth as an illustrator and storyteller.

That said, Drastic style changes (we're talking going from painting like Norman Rockwell to drawing like Jim Davis,) can be jarring, but that's not to say you shouldnt do it. I've seen a couple of comics (cant remember what they are now though, sorry,) that used changes in style throughout the comic to influence the tone of the story, and thats coolio.

My art style didn't really solidify until my 20s, so it's perfectly normal to change the way you depict things. Even now, I'm constantly changing how I draw certain things because I've learned to render them better than what I was doing.

It's natural, and like Mocha said... Art puberty. Can be just as frustrating and painful but the end result is usually worth it.

I don't think you can avoid your art changing when doing a comic it's just the natural progression of it. Nor should you be wary of it, being better is always a good thing!
As far as purposely changing your art style all at once (like going from am anime styles to realistic) it depends... The biggest thing to consider is what YOU want, as it is your comic.

No, if anything, stagnation is bad. Staying stagnate takes the fun out of drawing plus you can't really stop the growth of your art as you continually practice.

I wouldn't stress over it. Your art style will change as you draw more. I personally enjoy it as a reader. Even well known comics like Garfield have a change in art style over the course of their run. Just look forward to how awesome you will be in the future and keep chugging along.
