Hello, I am a manga artist about to start a webseries on Webtoons inspired by Kill la Kill and I wanted to know what is the line between having characters in sexy, skimpy outfits and what Webtoons considers and prohibits called "sexually gratifying"? I just want to know so I don't rush into this series feeling disappointed.

According to the website Webtoon does not allow "content that contains nudity or is intended to be sexually gratifying". Nudity understood, but what is the line when it comes to being sexually gratifying?

That's a very hazy line, which is different for every human. Art-wise, I'd say that trying to avoid having the focal point of a panel be boobs or butts would be one thing. (So, no zooming in on those areas, or placing them prominently in front of the camera.)

But honestly... Your best bet is probably to just draw your comic based on what you think is reasonable, and keep the process files so you can edit the outfits just in case they're deemed too risque for WEBTOON. They're extremely strict about this, especially with smaller creators, so err on the side of caution.

I've seen Webtoon pull pages for like...too much side boob showing on dresses, so I'd err towards the range of PG-13.

my man, shoot for the stars!
if your work isn't welcome here, then this is not a place you'd want to be in, right?

WT removed @artamazon's pages for a character's cleavage.
You can see what else they removed here in this thread

So, unless you become a WT featured comic, there is a good chance they might find issue with your pages.

But you're welcome to post here on Tapas! Tapas is much more accepting when it comes to partial boob, so long as the nipples are covered, you can get away without even a mature tag.

From the forum page was linked I had some experience on the matter and as far as whether my message got to Webtoons, I don’t, but I don’t think so, no one has reached out after they sent the message about my content being banned. Just be careful, ‘women’s’ bodies seem to get far more policed, so yah if you have a lot of boob showing, it could be an issue.
