If there's any wordpress users out there that are having difficulties getting Comicpress/Comic Easel mobile ready, hit me up. I've done all the hours of forum reading, head splitting frustration, so you don't have to lol

I've found a plugin called WPTouch, that can work with custom posts (like Comicpress's comic posts). So you can get that nice mobile theme to work with your comicpress site XD

Also last Saturday on #webcomicchat on Twitter (every Saturday at 8:30 pm), we discussed this very topic. You can read the archive for the chat on the tumbr page here.

It's definitely important for us to keep our sites with the time and make sure they run properly on mobile devices. You can test your site to make sure it's mobile friendly using this mobile friendly Google test.

What if I don't have a smart phone? Then does my searches via laptop are going to produce laptop friendly sites?

A laptops display is pretty much the same as a PCs display, however, just because we don't have smartphones doesn't mean the readers don't either. It's important that we have sites that all people can access whether on a laptop, tablet, pc, or phone.

I don't know about this. I usually switch to the laptop version of websites even on my phone. I just feel they have more options and faster navigation that the mobile counterparts. For example, as far as I know there's no way to check notifications on Tapastic's moble site, only my comic subscriptions list.

I do my pages at 900 width, vertical panels, and I make darn certain it's readable at 100%.
Yet I have no mobile device to fully confirm with myself if my comics are mobile-ready.

So I see myself as half prepared for this apocalypse.

Its a bold move BUT i think it might be needed. there some mobile site out there that ... er, gimped. I hope this push those sites to treat them like ACTUAL sites so they function the same as the desktop, with all the features. This might be the push thats needed on that front.

@aspiderjonny I agree as well, i tend to switch up to a lot but with this it'll put the heat on to get web developers to to design better mobile websites since at the mo they're seen as an 'addon'. theres only a few that have good mobile sites a lot feel 'meh'.

@CyndiFoster yes I tested it! it works AND has all the pages! no hidden feature that are only desktop, you did good!

I'm happy my webdesigner helped me to have a friendly mobile user interface on the other language version of my comic :o
Thank you for sharing this information ! I don't have a mobile phone with enough wifi power to look at a lot of websites, but still, mobile phones are used a lot for this, it's quite normal to adapt your website to it !
