Jul 2021

I wrote down over a 1 week worth of planning what I'm going to do for July so far.

Days
1. Concept art of characters or work on details about characters
2. Concept art of environments for first chapter
3. Reference practice or gesture practice
4. Facial expession practice
5. Body practice
6. Feet and hands practice
7. Poses/ body sketches
8. Thumbnail practice
9. Script - tweak or rewrite
10. Write Up what makes the comic interesting for me to keep going.

This is my agenda so far for first 10 days of July. Wish me luck!

@Legendofgenii Yay! Hi, Jenny. Yup, I get sidetracked and distracted a lot too. But let's hope this month you'll get that next episode done. Can't wait to see your WIPs.

@Kelheor Glad to have you join! Hopefully this challenge will help you get lots done for your other comics too. Love your art style!

@ricardoaltuna Wow, an hour a day?! That's awesome. Maybe you can teach some of us your secrets. Looking forward to seeing what you create this month!

@KiabIce Your plan for July looks great, Kiab. Always good to have ideas for what to work on each day. Good luck!

Hi, I'm Oshi.
I'll be working on my ongoing comic A Man Called Ravenlord
and I'm aiming to finish a new episode within this month.
I'll probably share my warm-up sketches here.

Hi there, Oshi! It'll be fun to see your warm-up sketches. Hope this challenge helps you get a new episode done this month!

Looks great, Kiab. Trying to pick my favorite expression, but there are too many good ones.

Thanks. This challenge is great it's getting me into the groove of drawing my characters and comic again.

To prevent burn out, take it easy.

Thanks Genii I can't wait to see what you create and post here too! I know you are a great artist

Hey I’m a Real Live Badger and I’m writing a book on here, but it might be time to start focusing on that comic on webtoon that I haven’t updated in months. I’m going to post it on tapas (at a slower rate to hopefully give me some time to work on new pages) and this seems like a fun opportunity to get back into it. It’s about nerds with superpowers trying to save Boston from something something something.
Yon Dweebus;

Welcome! Wow, love these character designs. They look like they could be from a animated tv show or something. I hope you're able to get a lot done for the comic this July.

okay i put the first page up <3 also thank you!! i always wanted it to be a show like young justice or the original teen titans

check it out if you, too, would like to be angry at boston's city planning.

Hi, I'm Zora, from the UK =)
I've been lurking on tapas for a while now, wanting to create a comic and like others on this topic I hope that this challenge will help keep me motivated enough to do it.
So for the month of July I'll start small and try to create a short story that I could (hopefully) publish at the end of the month!
I wish everyone the best of luck!

Hello, Zora! That's such a fun idea to finish a short story by the end of the month. Can't wait to see what you create!

My available time to work got cut to 25% of what I'm used to, so I welcome a challenge like this. It's also a great way to hold myself accountable!

Star-Studded Salutations everyone! Díalusion here and for this July Comics Challenge, I'll aim to finish up production on the first season of SUMMON! The Nameless Relic (or at least finish up as much as I can) as well as have proper character sheets/reference sheets for the major characters.

Hi, Díalusion! Yes, personal and public accountability can be total motivators. Here's to hoping you finish up that season 1 and make some reference sheets too!
