Nobody gives a shit if your cover is lacking a title, right? I'm seeing a few in the community tab without them.
Which is a nice change of pace from the lengthy yet clinical titles on the main page.
Since tapas shows the series title under the cover already it shouldn’t be a problem. I feel like they didn’t always do that…

I've been needing to change my cover because I noticed that the title I put on it gets cut off due to how Tapas makes their thumbnails. I had followed their template for making a cover, but I still fell short. lol
Officially they say your series cover needs the title on it. But as @ArtGremlin says, they display your title on the discovery feeds too. So it's a bit redundant imo.
If anything, I don't think you're gonna lose any potential readership because of it. Not sure if tapas itself is gonna get miffed about it though.
