What do you like the most about your work?
I'm amazed by how far it's come. These are comics that are 4-10 years old, and their developments are finally coming to light. They're finally shaping up to how I want them to be. I'm real proud of the development, and I can only hope they continue to get better.
What do you like the most about your fanbase?
I'd say my fanbase is my family and friends. They're supportive, they're excited to see my work, and they never miss the chance to remind me to rest. I'm always grateful to my friends and family because they were there when I had that big idea and there when I started working on it.
What do you like the most about your livelihood?
Right now, I'm studying to be an Electrical Engineer. It's something I'm real passionate about, aside from comic-making. I've wanted to be one since First Grade, and that love still hasn't stopped. Some people ask me how do I find the time to draw or how can I like two vastly different things. But I don't think they're all that different at all. You need creativity for both. You need planning and organization for both. But more of all -- you need vision for both.
What do you like the most about yourself and the people around you?
I like my sense of humor! Wholesome puns and corny jokes. For me, it's that little thing that can keep me going when I've gone through a rough day. I'll always be as ready as I can be when facing serious situations and responsibilities. But at the end of it, I like to come back, let myself calm, and tell a joke or two. This kind of humor is funny, harmless, and sweet, and I just need that sometimes.
As for the people around me, I love that they're eccentric! Their personalities pop, and they may or may not have no chill. I'll put it in this way -- the people I'm closest to are akin to the Three Stooges but without the slapstick violence XD
We're all supportive, silly, and I'm grateful to have that.
Have you made any friends while being on Tapas?
Definitely! I've found a strong group of friends and we're all on a discord together (I dunno everyone's names on here, but I know @beta1042~! Lovely person, just darling!)! Even then, I've befriended others here who I regularly chat with like @DiegoPalacios and @dawgofdawgness!
What have you learned from your experiences?
I work better with a full script. I know some people are able to dive in and figure things out along the way. But I really need to have most, if not all, of the script written. It helps me with my thinking process, especially when I'm making buffer.
I also learned that slowly easing into things works for me. I've been making buffer and writing out my scripts for this summer more than making pages. That's while I'm still unpublished on Tapas and Webtoons. I just prefer to have a strong foundation under me before I dive in. I'd also argue I've already dove in because I'm making buffer and scripts (already finished 3 of them).
I just want to do this for fun, and I feel the moment I get overwhelmed, that's the moment it's not fun anymore.
