Less engagement?

Hi, I was wondering if its normal to slowly loose all comments and views on a comic. It seems like I have lost all the fans of mine who were constantly commenting, which is a shame. Is there a way to engage more people and how do I motivate myself when it seems like no one is interested?

It is normal to slowly lose comments, viewership, and engagement. These things are set in cycles, whose mechanisms are largely unknown to us. Or at least, that's what I've heard over and over again on the forums. I'm going through my first low, too. Let's just give it some time. And of course, you're right that improving can never hurt.

Some readers may prefer to binge read. Also school starting up tends to have a dip in interaction.

I've observed that the average ratio of viewers from the start of a popular story till the time when a constant viewership is achieved is roughly 17:1

So it's pretty normal I guess.

Yeah readers have their own lives so I just assume something came up that impacted their online time or will to consistently read or comment. I know I've been affected by real-life circumstances that made me quieter than before.

As for motivating yourself, you just gotta see the end of your chapter, arc, or whole story as that glorious finish line as you're running your marathon.
