Lets make a story! #2 [Game]

I made a topic like this a couple months back and it was awesome! The story has ended so I'm doing another one

Same rules, I start with a sentence then the next person write their sentence, then so on until we make a story! The sentence can be about anything at all! (as long as it's not too long). You can also choose to cut off your sentence mid-way so someone else can finish your sentence.

(If you would like to make a comment during the story please put it in brackets so we know that it is not included in the story)

Here's my starting sentence :
In a world filled with crime...

(Yes, all of my starting sentences will start with "In a world" XD)
