Oh I’m even more psyched if it’s weird, I love wAaaAcKyy stories :sob::heart:

a nightmare in every way lol. what texture is her aunt's hair?

yeah, some people have these hair textures even when they aren't black, I have a few characters who are Korean with naturally 'fro textured hair. One is Lucy Kim, in my series about natural hair 'Lion Proof' and it's kind of a weird joke because the MC doesn't believe it's her real hair, though she can't help admitting how gorgeous it is lol

no such thing honey. no such thing. unfortunately for me, my OCs keep designing themselves. I love designing characters but i feel like i barely get a chance to lol.

Oh cool! Princess Thimble is Korean too or Korean-coded, since it’s fantasy there isn’t really the country in their world but I did base her off of that. And she has the textured hair as well :slight_smile: she only flat irons her tiny baby bangs and leaves everything else natural.

Also we just have enough characters to fill a whole world, it’s just how our brains work it seems :sparkles::relieved:!

I’m putting my girl THROUGH it
For character development :pensive::fist:🏽
Sadie’s hair is 4a with a lotta length because it’s :sparkles:magical hair:sparkles:
Casey, my mixed girly, is 3b!

Same :sob: but I only get the chance to design characters when I need them for plot otherwise I won’t care about them and it would be a waste of a design

Crazy as it sounds I already have a story behind each one of my characters :sob::sob: I write like a lot a lot a lot, but mostly just outlines so I don’t forget the plots and how they connect to the bigger plots :sparkles:

you could always just design the characters when ideas come to you and potentially make other stories with them later

Well the thing is that I don’t want to have too many characters to avoid clutter :sweat_smile: and I like designing the characters with a purpose in mind. Ex: my most recently designed character, Axel. (Hold up she has curly hair double reason to post a pic of her)

I wanted a “companion” type character for the main character of this story who would also mess up his “perfect” life. I wanted to make a sparkle witch oc at the time so I added that too. Then I realized that she could be related to some characters seen in the prequel (Star Hunters) and it all just fit together nicely.

Making characters that fill roles and make everything fit together nicely is what I enjoy most about character design.

ahh, i just like making fun and quirky characters. if they don't fit anything, i make something new for them. but it's easier with novels than it for comics to make multiple series

Ayla Deanne from "A Dozen Morning Glories" complete with her jumbo-twists and ball-balls.

Marilee's hair is naturally coily, but she also uses jheri curl. Actually her hair reminds me a lot of a relative I used to hang out with and now I wonder if she had a jheri curl or something similar lol.
