Just though it'd be nice for novel writers to share a piece of their work, this way those interested in reading can get a nice and quick preview of the stories to see if it encourages them to keep reading! After that would go the story summary, so, the paragraphs would be the most important here!

(I'm also looking for some novels to read so I really look forward to your paragraphs :tapa_pop: )

I'll share mine as an example of how this thread would be:

Title: Voracity's End

Current chapters: 41 (on going)

"The redhead, who as the days went by, lost important parts of himself, carried a small skull at the level of his chest while he walked. His expression was completely disturbed, so anyone who saw him would know that he had witnessed the greatest terror in his life and that he would never return to who he was before.

Trapped in what seemed like hell come true, the little boy with red eyes advanced between obstacles with only one objective in mind: to survive and fulfill his wishes. He longed to win at any cost, and thus, recover the most important thing in his life.

However, currently, he was desperately searching for one of his brothers. The city was a disaster, and the more hours passed, the streets filled with desperate people. Furious hordes ran everywhere, indiscriminately attacking whoever was in front of them. It's not that he believed that his brother was weak, on the contrary, he had the ability to defend himself very well..., but how much could he resist if people decided to gang up against him?"

Story summary:

Even though they were all part of the same family, the four orphans saw the world in different colors.

He who was unable to see the beauty in life, still longed to protect what was dear to him. The one whose thoughts pestered him about the injustice around him still saw the meaning of living. Whereas one saw the world as a pointless video game he didn’t want to be part of.

The latter, who vehemently believed in his family's unity, could not have been more mistaken. Due to supernatural influences, the barrier between truth and illusion crumbled. What seemed like harmonious bonds revealed dark secrets from the past and a frustrating fight between brothers who only want to be seen for who they are.

With the countdown of mysterious trumpets, the Ikari brothers are determined to survive until the last day is announced.

Hi there,
Title: Camp Carbon
Current chapters: 23
"
At first there wasn't chaos, cloud, sky, ash, and night camos for trekking woods, woods don't shade woods aren't forests. At barks and twigs spread, carbon has been proliferated since then. Life dazzed, things looked chemistry, things were streaming. Things are animated. What stood against was shadeless, what stood around was par-less. Trees ivied, sound cured, moving grass, blossoms turned. Most ideals are rejected because they're bad not because other ideals are better.

Leaving library studio homes, watching others leave their linear housing, heading towards the interstate where new cheap plastic biochemical biohazard signs made new highlights, 'Bioactivity ahead', having that carbon life and carbon living, it was seen as a way of avoiding going carbine, it bothered most the least. No wonder their moms liked them that much, he thought, as sentience is. 'Lake crow', security para sign pointed, "grass is turning yellow" one snow camo mentioned to the other. The worst of a migraine is right under the eye, on the further right side of the face. Lake crow was that. Swathe and not technical, the areas bordering the opposite territories and the para nature and its grass walls were artillery managed.

Lake Crow, not to be mistaken with the Halloween we all know, is the darkest and mossiest area mapped. They didn't quaint at Lake crow, they took 'darkness' sentiment readings at lake barbara. A new take on the level they were all used to. Mist is too low on the lake. Worse than the ground. It was one of the things that must be moving other things around.
"
Story Summary:
As snow shallowed forest creatures hollow, dusk follows and towns and camps night. A world of mercenaries and assassins set by shallow zones, wooded and plagued by darker creatures.

Shades of mercenaries and assassins program artillery to towers, at campfire's flickers and flames, in the woods, to separate from darker undersights.

1, leader of corps, keeping borders at hand, A, leader of the city, keeping mirrors, and 8 of the others, keeping side.

Hi, thank you for the opportunity!
I have a few novels (one of them is complete, the others are ongoing). Some of these excerpts are more than three paragraphs since a lot of my paragraphs are single sentences.

Title: The Lonely Lighthouse
Current Chapters: 3 (ongoing)

Andreas gazed at the grayish-blue sea from the gallery deck of the lighthouse, feeling a familiar sense of calm. He often spent his mornings like this, letting the chilly ocean air whip through his hair as he watched the undulating waves crest and fall. At his side was his loyal lundehund Bjorn, a smallish dog with light brown and white fur, upturned ears, and six toes on each paw.

Bjorn started barking incessantly, interrupting Andreas’ meditative state.

“What’s wrong?” Andreas asked. “Do you see something?”

He looked downward at the shore where he saw a figure lying amongst the jagged rocks.

“Oh!” he exclaimed. “We need to get down there quickly!”

Story Summary
After his parents died in a tragic car accident, Andreas had to drop out of university and return home to maintain the family lighthouse on a remote island in the northern seas. For three years, he lived a quiet, solitary life, accompanied only by his dog Bjorn.

One day, a mysterious stranger washes ashore…

Title: Grand Epic Elemental: The Novel
(Note: There is also a comic version of the story that is just called Grand Epic Elemental)
Current Chapters: 32 (completed)

The wind whistled across the dunes as a trade caravan made its way westward.

At the front was a man on horseback. He wore a dark brown cloak and the veil of his wide-brimmed weimao shielded his face from the windblown sand. Behind him was a long line of horses, merchants, and their precious cargo.

The heat was oppressive and the days monotonous. They had trekked for weeks, spending the nights at caravanserai when they were available and camping out under the night sky when they were not.

However, things were looking more hopeful today. Beyond the mountains on the horizon was their destination Ishkhandar, the capital of the Western Region.

Story Summary
Book 1 of the Grand Epic Elemental trilogy

In a world overseen by the goddesses of the four elements, Leiyu accompanies a trade caravan traveling westward to the Kingdom of Ishkhandar. Little does he know, he is about to meet someone who will change his life and embark on a journey to escape fate.

Title: The Adventures of Astatine
Current Chapters: 8 (ongoing)

Note: Although the story starts with a prologue, the following excerpt is from Chapter 1:

“It’s been twenty years,” Astatine said as he looked down at the valley. He and Samarian made their way to the ruins of the village that was once his home. The remains of charred buildings were overgrown with weeds. The grass nearly reached their knees as they walked through. Other than the sound of the wind, it was eerily silent.

He remembered standing at the top of a grassy hill when he was a boy, looking over the fields where his father and the other villagers cultivated the wheat that they milled into the flour that became the delicious bread that his mother baked. He remembered the chickens running freely amongst the neighborhood, the vegetable gardens behind the cottages where they grew cabbages, onions, squash, and lentils, and the festivals the village would have every year to celebrate a successful harvest.

He stopped in front of the remnants of a cottage. “This is…” His chest began to hurt. “This would have been…where my family lived…” He touched the dilapidated wood and the structure collapsed. He clasped his hand over his mouth as his eyes began to tear up. Falling to his knees, he trembled and dug his hands into the dirt. His tears fell onto the grass and a pained sound escaped from his throat.

Story Summary
Book 2 of the Grand Epic Elemental trilogy

After recovering from his injuries, Astatine sets off on a journey to the Western Region, which has fallen into chaos after being invaded by the armies of the Southern Region.

During his travels, he meets a mysterious stranger and offers to accompany him to the next city. They become travel companions, although the stranger is reluctant to talk about his past and carries an object in his bag that he keeps closely guarded.

What adventures await our two wanderers?

Title: Space Opera Elemental
Current Chapters: 3 (ongoing)

The hovercraft glided deftly over the desert, leaving a sand-colored cloud in its wake. Perched on top of the seat was a young man with long black hair tied in a ponytail. He wore goggles and a face mask to shield his eyes and mouth from flying debris. His ragged brown cloak flapped in the wind. Behind his seat was a pile of metal pieces and random gears, tied down with worn-out twine.

His name was Leiyu - part-time bounty hunter, scrap collector, and freelance worker of odd jobs.

The desert was full of mirages, but he knew that the dark spot on the horizon was the way station that he had been searching for. He twisted the handlebars of his hovercraft forward to accelerate.

The way station was a dusty oblong building that resembled the carapace of a giant beetle and was lined with circular eye-like windows. Leiyu pulled the hovercraft in and braked. He let the vehicle descend and pushed a button to shut it off. He dismounted and let his boots sink into the sand.

Raising his goggles to his head and lowering his face mask, he shouted, “Hello?”

Story Summary
Sci-fi AU of Grand Epic Elemental

Leiyu, part-time bounty hunter, scrap collector, and freelancer worker, hears through the grapevine that the Imperiat, an intergalactic empire, has placed a bounty on Princess Amara of the planet Tokamanen, although he does not wish to pursue it because of his own negative experiences with the empire's forces.

While he is on another assignment, he is rescued by an interplanetary traveler who goes by the name Thallios. They journey together to complete more assignments, but Leiyu wonders why Thallios is so secretive about their past and also notices that the Imperiat's soldiers seem to be following them.

im going to share a paragraph of my current episode im working on and my first if thats ok, my writting has changed a ton in such a small time that my first sentences looks somewhat bad.

first episode:

Everything was pitch black. The world around me had frozen and my thoughts were focused on a beautiful woman. I didn't know her name or who she was, but felt some connection to her in this weird dream. That's when she spoke, "Honey. When are you coming back?" Her voice was muffled but still sounded angelic. At that moment I instinctively tried to reach out to her but a fierce current suddenly picked me up, pushing me away from her and forcing me to sink back into reality.

recent unreleased, episode 26:

"Sent me to hell? the fuck are you talking about?" A chair appeared behind her and she sat on it, grabbing a weirdly shaped glass from thin air, filling it with a red liquid and taking a sip. She licked her lips and smiled in my direction, her eyes appraising me. "So you don't remember? or are you just playing with me Ryan? Either way that's quite amusing. I can barely even sense your echo, how did you become so weak?" an echo? What was that supposed to mean? I set it aside immediately. "Weak? What the hell is that supposed to mean?! I was stronger before? And what was that crap about hell just now. Answer my damn questions!" She took another sip from the red liquid and let go of the glass, it vanished into thin air. "I cannot answer those questions. This is a scenario made up from your own mind, only you can answer the questions that you're asking. Isn't that hilarious?! Your own mind isn't even giving you the answers that you want to know!" Her taunting hit me right where it hurt. The idea that it was literally my own brain taunting me makes it an even worse revelation. "Shut up! You know absolutely nothing!" I hadn't thought before saying that, it did know, it knew more than me...

but yeah, i had gone into much more depth with my latest writting then in my first episode, escpecialy the actions of my characters (by the way this is the same woman my MC is dreaming of in the first chapter, but this is all happening within his head.)

Oh, this is so much fun! Here's my first few lines:

Lady Regina Sheridan stared blankly at the very pretty and very shiny blond man frolicking in front of her.

He was wearing seven brooches today. She knew that he was wearing seven brooches because she had counted them, even as she wondered how he managed to keep the one attached to his belt from falling off.

"My dearest heart," he cried, bouncing in excitement. "Are you not excited to see the surprise that I prepared?"

Prologue: How Did I Get Here?

I wish I could have laughed. Perhaps it was the increasing lack of oxygen to my brain. You’d think being choked to death would be enough to stay my cynical sense of humor, but I found the disparity between my imagined post-high school life and where I now found myself as a recent college graduate hilariously at odds.

But you know, I bet almost everyone feels that way when they enter the workforce as a full-fledged adult. Especially when the publishing company you start working for fails to provide the proper training and tools to ensure a safe and comfortable working environment. In fact, I think they’ve ignored almost every OSHA standard. But I digress.

Shifting focus to my current predicament, the ethereal twilight around us turned to midnight as I lost my peripheral vision. The icy hand of encroaching death had already numbed the lower parts of my body, but my head and neck still burned with a sharp, searing pain.

Demon King Olethros, The Dark Serpent, Second of Evil, was living up to his title in earnest, acting like a giant number two. Oh, Nora would have loved that snarky insight, but alas, she had been separated from me by Olethros during our earlier epic confrontation.

Details

When the President said to immerse ourselves in the project, this was NOT what I had in mind!

I really should’ve taken the publisher’s employment contract more seriously…

Rachel and her best friend Nora never imagined their first job at a publishing company would catapult them into the heart of their favorite fantasy web novel. Five years after the story's abrupt hiatus left fans in limbo, they seized the chance to help the enigmatic author complete the tale that had captivated their hearts during their high school days. But what begins as an exciting creative endeavor quickly spirals into a quirky, unimaginable adventure when they're whisked away without consent into the very story they longed to save. Now, the two will get firsthand experience dealing with the destructive demon lord who betrayed and banished the heroine during the story's original cliffhanger.

But what if he isn't the card-carrying villain everyone else seems to think he is?

Milo was walking back home in the evening, his eyes fixed on his phone. He had texted King, 'Reached home?' but had yet to receive a reply.

The soft hues of the setting sun painted the sky in shades of orange and pink, casting long shadows on the pavement. As he strolled through his familiar street, a sudden scream pierced.

"Help... help..."

His heart pounded as he followed the desperate voice, his phone still clutched in his hand. He turned a corner and saw a group of men in black suits. One of them, a tall figure, was holding a gun. The man's face was obscured by the intense light of the setting sun. His heart pounded as he followed the desperate voice. He instinctively hid himself, his breath quickening. His phone was still clutched in his hand.

"Wha...what...what's happening here!?" he muttered to himself in shock and fear.

Instinctively, Milo opened his phone's camera and began recording. The man on the ground was pleading, his voice trembling with fear. "Pl...please, let me go."

The tall man bent down slightly, his voice cold. "Why should I?" and without hesitation, he pulled the trigger. The gunshot was eerily silent, thanks to the suppressor.

VOLKERMORD. 13 Chapters. Ongoing (Link to story below)

News - Good evening. We begin tonight with a special report on the escalating global conflicts involving the world's major powers. This is your host, Derrick Parker, only on the fastest Info. Point.

Tensions have reached a boiling point as multiple nations are now engaged in a series of interconnected wars, each vying for strategic dominance over each other and valuable assets, including the highly coveted dome cities. Here's the latest on the unfolding situation.

In the latest development, the Republic of Arga has come under intense scrutiny and condemnation from the international community for its aggressive military actions. Arga's recent forced occupation of a crucial international ground, the ground of one of the three dome cities, has drawn sharp criticism and a direct military response from Yuropa. The dome cities, renowned for their economic and technological significance, have become pivotal in this burgeoning conflict. Control over these cities is seen as a major economic boon, potentially empowering any nation that holds them. Yuropa, one of the world's superpowers, has mobilized its substantial military resources to counter Arga's occupation. The clash between these two superpowers has ignited fears of a broader international crisis. Our sources indicate that the dome city in question is a major financial hub, making it a highly prized target.

On another front, the Republic of Arga continues its contentious military presence in Geruna, a deployment that began seven years ago to quell civil unrest. However, this presence has now led to open hostilities between Arga and Geruna, as local resistance groups intensify their efforts to expel Arga's forces.

The conflict in Madacas has also escalated significantly. South Madacas (S-Madacas), citing cultural similarities, is attempting to annex North Madacas (N-Madacas). In response, Chokto has stepped in to support N-Madacas, further complicating the regional power dynamics. The battles here are intensifying, with reports of heavy casualties on both sides.

On the other hand Lamanthus and Perisia are embroiled in a full-scale war, rooted in ethnic tensions and territorial disputes. Yuropa has thrown its support behind Perisia, while Arga is backing Lamanthus. This proxy war is exacerbating the already volatile global situation, with both superpowers, Yuropa and Arga, now directly involved in multiple theaters of conflict.

Another flashpoint is the ongoing conflict between Felix and the Southern Nations Alliance (S.N.A.). Arga's provision of weapons and military support to Felix has fueled this conflict over the land of Damascus, another critical site of a dome city. The struggle for control over this area underscores the strategic importance of these dome cities, seen as key to national power and influence. Many international scholars believe that this will turn out in a full blown war.

The international community watches with growing concern as these conflicts threaten to destabilize the global order. Diplomatic efforts are underway, but the scale and complexity of these wars make resolution difficult. The involvement of the world's superpowers, each with their own military and economic interests, has turned these regional disputes into a global crisis reminiscent of the tensions seen during the 2nd totalitarian war.

As the situation develops, we will continue to provide updates. The world stands on the brink, and the actions taken in the coming days and weeks will shape the geopolitical landscape for years to come. This is Derrick Parker reporting live. Back to you.

The TV Blacks out.

Chapter 1 part 1

“ Ah the city of Loor and look at that we
arrived just in time for tonight’s festivities.” a voice said. Every harvest moon when the gates of the living and souls are open. Thru sunset to sunrise there would be a celebration of how important the cycle of life is. Seed to crop, baby to man, man returning back to their roots in the dirt below.
“Elyn my dear you must try the blueberry sweet cream buns, why they are absolutely to die for.” the voice said just as happily as ever.
Looking at her well dressed companion, well maybe associate truth be told Elyn really didn’t know what to think of her traveling partner. His robes made him stand out of course, the city of Loor was a simple place shiny jewels and expensive fabrics weren’t really the norm here. Still his enthusiasm was infectious, perhaps the pair could stay and celebrate for a fortnight or two.
“ Sure.” Elyn replied with a small smile on her face. It’s been awhile since she got to experience her favorite fruit.
The sweet beautiful fruit were the Old Ones gift to mankind. Both Elyn and her brother Elias would spend hours picking the delicious fruit ,eating till the teeth and tounge turned blue. The pair laughing enjoying the treats in their own little Eden.

This is from the middle of chapter 12. Hope you'll try it out!

Angelina felt inexplicably guilty. “I… don't have to leave right away!” she explained, “I could stay… a little longer…”

Luka's face literally lit up. The spirit's eyes changed from pitch black space to a bright yellow sun, and the galaxies flashed and spun within. Luka grabbed her hand and pulled her up.

“Come on!” the mana spirit said excitedly, “there's so much to show you!”

Angelina stumbled after it, descending into an indescribable world of wonderment and chaos.

“What is this place?” she asked in amazement as a dark red sun was swallowed behind her.

“This is my home!” Luka replied, “isn't it great?!” A planet exploded in the distance, raining rubble across the colorful space in front of them. Luka led her to a distant planetoid, landing on a small field of lush green grass. A single tree stood off to one side, growing like a giant, carefully pruned bonsai.

Angelina turned in a slow circle. From her position on the small space rock, she could clearly see the curvature of this tiny world. It felt like she was standing on top of the tallest mountain, looking down on the world around her as if she had gained omnipotence.

“This is amazing,” she whispered reverently.
