ugh, my old eyes are the worst, sorry I messed up the name, it's Shinjuku Incident, it has Jackie Chan in it. It's about a Chinese immigrant who ends up getting involved with the Yakuza and fights for territory for other immigrants. It has a bit of police sleaziness involving police and the Yakuza.

I like the movie Filth - it's a british movie about a cop and he's a really nasty guy. (Not trying to spoil anything)

A really neat cop drama about his mental health, but be prepared for a very emotional story. Some really horrible things happen to him.

about predator, I've never feel atracted to that saga, like ever, being honest sci-fi kinda turns me off, unless it has Cyber Punk then It becomes awesome.

Back to the subject of Patlabor, I just wanted to add the I thought the first Patlabor movie was fantastic. I wouldn't recommend going into it cold though. Watch at least a few episodes of the series so that you will be familiar with the cast of characters before leaping into the movies. Although they were all good, the first movie really stands from the crowd for me.

One series I can think of is Blue Bloods, it's ongoing on CBS with Tom Selleck and Donnie Whalberg among it's cast member and the writings quite good I think.

I love this film to death. The directing and editing style is so unlike anything else being made in Hollywood today. I hope Wright's next film Baby Driver keeps that style.
