So I'm relatively new to line webtoons, and love the site. I don't use tapas but I've noticed some of the line webtoon community use this form. If this post doesn't belong here just let me know and I'll remove it.
Here is what I've been curious about lately. On the creators dashboard webtoons says (•If you have more than one qualified series on Discover, Webtoon will pledge to the highest performing series.) But I've noticed lately that some authors are bypassing this rule by creating several webtoon accounts with different patreon accounts linked to them. In return these creators have been getting payed on several of their series according to (WEBTOON's Pledge to Discover x Patreon Creators)
What I want to know is are they cheating the system or are they actually aloud to do this?

I feel like Webtoon doesn't specifically say you can't, but my guess is they probably would stop paying one of your accounts if they found out you did.

That's how I feel about it to but that doesn't seem to be happening. One of the creators in specific is very open about all of their series and from all the info I see webtoons still supports the creator and pays them on all their series.

Yeah I've seen that too. I mean if webtoons doesn't do anything when the artist is being transparent, I can't imagine why artists wouldn't do it, other than it may be a pain to manage multiple accounts.

For the money webtoons was offering pre 2018 it was very easy for some of these creators to make $1000 a month on several series. Seeing that you only have to update twice a month its really not that much work for the money they received. I hope webtoons makes it more clear to creators because I feel like creators who work on several popular series are loosing out if they only have one account.

I might know what creator you are talking about but as far as I know, the creators do not do all of their works on all of these series on their own. It is collab work. Some they write and other artist draws, some they just offers idea, etc. My friend have sent Webtoon an email asking their rule regarding collab and we are waiting reply on this so I'm not sure how that all works just yet.

Cool I'm glad someone has sent a message to webtoons about this. I considered sending one myself, just wasn't sure if I should. Their is one creator that has several different people working on all of the series and I'm assuming that they must be some sort of studio, at least it seems that way (I'm sure we are both talking about the same creator). Although their is another dude that is pretty much by himself and he has 4 series on diff accounts. I feel like both are still going out of the guidelines of webtoons.

To be honest I don't see the problem on doing that, it just a artist working on more than one series. But there are artists in around the world making manga not just one but work on multiple stories at once, it a bitch to do so there shouldn't be any problems to do so. Plus the series have to be notice by the people who runs Webtoon, by the numbers you get on each series; such as the subscribers count and the page views count. You need a lot to be qualify of your worth in the Webtoon community, you can look up how much the numbers of each is worth in money. So just make your series with different accounts each is totally fine that just make them happy and get them a lot of money.
