LINE Webtoon - Opinions?

I honestly can't say what I'd be doing right now without the platform that Webtoons has given my comic. They've promoted me a bunch, meaning I now have a largish, consistent base of regular readers over there who read, like and leave comments on my updates.

BUT... In the last few months, I've actually lost many more readers than I've gained. Not that I'm worried, whenever something is promoted, comic or not, you get an influx, but then a good percentage of them will drop off almost automatically. However it is funny that I was wondering out loud whether it's worth it to keep uploading here a few months ago, and since that time, I've gained a net 50 new subs here while I've lost about 200+ on webtoons over the same time period.

Not sure what the point is I'm trying to make here, except maybe, if it doesn't cost you anything, and you can keep up with it, you may as well post on as many places as you can, because you never know which way the wind will blow.

Is anyone else having issues uploading? It keeps saying the “invalid file format jpeg only” thing even when I’m using jpegs... I’ve tried it on multiple computers and I get the same issue.

I got this same issue yesterday but I rechopped my jpg into 1200 px long instead of 1280 px long and it fixed it.

I went through and read all of your comic. I loved how it sets the scenario up only to come through in a way you couldn't expect but makes sense when you go back. It's nice to see a different take on the romance genre.

Webtoons has been really good to us. I was initially cautious of the audience as I'd heard a lot of people talk about the young readers, "it's too short" comments, etc etc. Luckily, we've had none of them. We generally update two pages a week and never mess with the schedule though, so that consistency could be the key?

We'd managed to reach 500 subs very quickly, within the first few updates. And then we got to 1000 a bit slower but still good, roughly about 60 new subs every update. Then a few days ago, out of nowhere, we were put on the "Recommended Titles" section of Discover – something I didn't think would ever happen.

I'm shaking my fist at the timing though, as we're now on hiatus between chapters, though we do have new non-narrative content still going up during that time. We've managed to get 500+ new subs since we were spotlighted, which has really boosted our confidence.

My advice is to just keep updating. Don't get downhearted because, out of nowhere, you might get that light shined on you too and it'll encourage you even more.

I've been reading your comic on Tapas. Absolutely adore the art style and how adorable every animal is! Now that I know you're on Webtoons I'll be sure to look it up!

Looking through a number of comics, I noticed that ones where the authors take time to reply to the comments will often avoid the hate that they are often warned about. I think people like to know they are being acknowledged and when people see that they are less likely to be mean. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Is it normal that I didn't receive my October pledge on Patreon yet? They are not eanswering my email asking for inquiry

Your pledge should come at the beginning of each month. Unless you have it set up that you automatically receive it on the 4th or 5th (not sure which.) If you didn't get anything on Nov. 1st, then there's an issue. Likewise if you have any pledges you receive payment on Dec. 1st.

Not to my knowledge, it's always been the 1st of each month for me. I'm not sure if there's any different if you have it set that you get payment for each pledged post though as I have mine set up that I get the monthly payment.

Unfortunately that would seem to be the case. So come Dec. 1st you should receive your payment. It might be later in the day of the 1st but you'll get it.

I'll wait for that date and wish I receive the pledge. Or else, it would 4 months of pledge that I miss. I've had problem with patreon before so i missed 2 months, now that i changed it, i missed another month... LOOLL wish me luck ;-;
