Long pages or short pages?

Long pages are great for giving readers lots of story content per update but short pages are easier on quality ( also giving the opportunity to print) So i wanna know which you use for your comic and likewise, how you like you read other people's comics! ^^

I use short since I make 4 panel comics.
I work with 700 pixels, 300 dpi

I'm looking into long-form later, and it'll be about 10 pages a chapter with 8 1/2 x 11" for size.
I've no idea for that just yet.

I keep my pages standard comic book size so it's easier to take to print.

I used to do long pages when I first started out doing webcomics, but when I wanted to reformat them and print them for a con it was a pain in the butt.

Yeah, whenever I start any illustration it's always on 8.5 x 11 xP
Demon House falls under those dimensions, but I've gone with the comic book size for my other series.
I always aim to print, even if I have no intention of doing so. You never know when someone wants a print of something.

Mine re not really webcomics to be honest. I follow standard printed manga measures.
I work almost completely traditional, so I use the A4 paper. Though I recently started using B4 for the ones that will be printed.

For both Model Student and The Star Route I do them both in standard manga book size since it's might be printed one day ^^b~

I've been sticking to 920x1980 for my few pages so far with Sunweaver

However I may extend mine out to be a bit longer. Not sure just yet though.

I make all my comics in a 1000 x 3-5000 and reduce it to half the size before uploading.
They're short but really aren't made for printing. It's more of a... scroll format like ZEROES
I don't really intend on printing my comic but my parents have this idea to make a little book with them in it so I'm starting to increase the quality of the images for that. (I also plan on redrawing a lot of them)

I have to say short. I have a preference for reading newspaper style comic strips, and I create 3 panel strips sooo....

I also find that I don't like reading on computers almost entirely because of having to scroll.

I did short pages for my other comics but since I only update Cosmos Song once a week, the pages are longer, like 10 - 15+ panels a page. Many of the long pages are formatted to a point where I can cut them in half if the comic ever did go to print!

I draw in a traditional page format, for various reasons. Firstly, because that's how I've always read comics. I grew up with print-comics, so I got used to thinking in that format - and secondly, it makes it SO much easier to format for print when I make stuff for cons.

I draw at 3307x4677 pixels, at either 300 or 400 dpi.

As for reading though.... I read all sorts of formats here on Tapastic! There's lots of fun stuff you can do with longer formats that work really well as webcomics, but which don't work as well in print. However, I don't like it when episodes get too long - if I have to scroll for too long to get to the end, I lose track of what happened at the beginning.

Generally speaking, a standard-size comic page feels right and natural, and I like them. But for webcomics --especially the way tapastic is designed-- it feels like the pages should be long and lead the reader's emotions by how long they have to scroll and how much they can see at one time on screen. It does pose the problem of "but what about print?" but I saw ReLIFE get its panels reorganized on a standard manga page and it seems like it can work. Bit of a hassle though :'D

My comic is standard-size pages so that I can make books! I also draw and ink on paper, so it's easier to lay out that way. I've done extra long pages a couple of times -- those just end up getting laid out as two pages that get stacked on top of each other.

I'm good with reading either! As long as the mobile-formatted comics don't make it so that, when I'm reading on desktop instead, I can't see enough of the panel at once to really read them properly.
