No it doesn't need NSFW label.
Fair enough. I find I have to be super cautious about how much I offer because I'm married with kids and a full time student. That takes up crazy amounts of time.
It's not as hard as it sounds. The most important thing is to know how to say okay, this is good enough. I have put a time limit on how long I will spend on a comic strip, and so sometimes it doesn't turn out the best. In the grand scheme of things, that is okay with me because I am then free to mov…
But that still leaves the whole navigation issue there, it's not like putting up those pages helps your readers to be able to find the content their looking for more quickly, which is under my impression the whole idea here. Not saying that adding bookmarks is not a bad idea, or people who have been…
What do you use if not Patreon? I'm looking for other services and seem to be having issues.
Don't you think that these particular rewards are making you work harder to provide less content for the body of your followers to enjoy?? I mean 5 dollars for a mini comic - ouch. I offer a printed book to my 25$ Patrons, takes me a few minutes to run up on the interweb using work I've already done…
I haven't done a Q&A yet, still building an audience that will interact with me through comments - this is a hard thing all by itself. Do a video Q&A though, it doesn't burn up as much effort as one off drawings for this. Use your time wisely, it is not a renewable resource.
So many creators out there say that being consistent is extremely important. Do what you have to, but really think about getting yourself to a place where you're done at least 2 weeks ahead of schedule. It makes it easier to come up with new material, and then you also feel more free to spend extra …
I don't think this needs to be labelled NSFW
I sit there and think about jokes. I think of ways to tell stories in three pictures. I build a buffer so I can think freely. I use the voice memo app on my phone when I'm not at home. Ideas can marinade in my head for months at a time, or sometimes 30 seconds.
Build a buffer - Having comics done well before your publishing schedule frees up your brain to think of more things. I'm already done through till April 2016. Thinking about doing an 18 page book because I don't have to stress on what to do this week. Social media engagement is crucial - It's one …
What kind of work does that involve if you ever decide to go to print? This has been a major driving factor for my format. Have you, or anyone else thought about that. I can't imagine how these long scrolling comics out there will ever do it.
I think that putting them in seasons is not helpful for daily strip style type creators because when a season ends your subscribers will all have to re-follow you. This could cost you readers.

15000 subs only works out to abo 7.5 dollars per episode. That's not making a living.

so you want to be a writer? Charles Bukowski, 1920 - 1994 if it doesn’t come bursting out of you in spite of everything, don’t do it. unless it comes unasked out of your heart and your mind and your mouth and your gut, don’t do it. if you have to sit for hours staring at your computer screen or hu…
Family Time - This is my own comic. It has a zombie, a ghost, and people who don't seem to notice. Dungeon Hordes - This is probably the best comic I've ever read. Maybe not quite Calvin and Hobbes.
I'm an Architecture student. Somewhat unrelated field as my course is all computer and legal stuff. Counting down the days till I finish.
I'm inspired mostly by my wife. She is my number one fan, which is really cool because I get to show her my work before anyone else, and she also sits with me and gives me ideas, or just tells me to slave away making more comics. The content in my work is mostly stuff that happens at home, or things…
I post at 8AM PDT on Saturday's, which is okay for me. It posts at noon my time. I think this makes it a good time for availability to my targeted North American crowd.
Terry and his family are doing the best they can to stay close, meanwhile there is a zombie running around and nobody seems to notice, or do they? http://tapastic.com/series/Family-Time

I have to say short. I have a preference for reading newspaper style comic strips, and I create 3 panel strips sooo.... I also find that I don't like reading on computers almost entirely because of having to scroll.
I like to listen to mostly dubstep. Helps me focus.
Awesome song. Also moderately solid album.
The first version looks cleaner. The tweak just seems like extra noise and is out of place in my opinion.
Number 4 is the most legible.
