Maybe changing the orientation of the ships in the second panel will help with how smooth it reads? What I mean by that is that the round ship---which seems to be the main focus---suddenly turns 90 degrees from the first panel to the second, which is a little bit too jarring for a dodge.
Something you could try is adding motion lines or a trail of light behind the round ship that people have a comparison(?) of its current orientation to its previous one, which can make things a bit easier to follow. You could also try making the round ship face slightly away from the metaphorical camera since it is fully facing away from the "camera" in the third panel. Making it an under-90-degrees turn might help, too.
