Read through a few more of your comics, time for some reviews~!
@IndigoShirtProd's The Black Belt Society:
- I love the unique use of shapes (especially the shapes!) and color in the art style that really sets it apart from other comics.
- The goddesses have really unique, aesthetically pleasing designs without having to be overly complicated and hyper-detailed.
- I like the small action sequences thus far; they flow well and have a good sense of movement.
- The humor is fun and I like our local jokester; every trio needs their comic, after all! (Also, puns are fantastic, and I will die on this hill if I have to.)
Overall, the art style alone makes this comic stand out and is worth looking at, particularly after the style changes in chapter 2. It's looking like it's going to be a fun little story where the characters will really shine through, but might have some good action along the way!
Have fun writing your comic--keep up the good work!
@Anithia's Casiopea's Adventure:
- The art is very cute and the cartoonish expressions really compliment the art style.
- I can already get a feel for what kind of character Casiopea is and, from what I can gather so far, she seems like a fun protagonist who isn't your typical "do the right thing" kind of girl. It's different, and a good kind of different.
- The dialogue works to get the point across, but there are a few points where I noticed the writing doesn't quite flow well; I might suggest getting a second opinion to help smooth out the written portions, as there are oftentimes when it's hard to catch little things in your own writing whereas someone else might notice something off immediately.
While there isn't much yet to see, the first three episodes already work to set up the premise for the story, which is a good thing because the reader will have a general idea what to expect from the story--likewise, it already establishes that maybe things aren't what we might expect with these princesses. A little editing might be necessary, but what you have so far is fun and a good start!
Good luck working on this comic more and the project you plan on posting next year!
@Dreams-of-Gaia's RedZone-137:
- The characters are expressive and the style is unique with coloring that reminds me of some classic American comics.
- The comic is quirky and funny, but also has those moments of seriousness that make you think about more important things, such as what society values and the unfairness of being different.
- I know I comment on characters a lot, but they're so important to a story that I feel the need to point it out every time! So far, the characters we've seen more of are really unique and those quirks of theirs make them stand out; it's even better to see those play out when they interact with each other.
- Since you're able to make these characters stand out, it will be interesting to see how you push the unique qualities of the other characters who haven't appeared that much yet. A lot of characters were introduced at once at one point in the story, so it's difficult to keep track of all of them without some key traits that will help distinguish them more.
Thus far, I think it's a fun comic and going in a good direction with its characters; some of them could use some more development, but they're off to a good start. While it is a slice-of-life, it still has moments of worldbuilding to help draw you into the world and help you get invested.
Good luck with continuing on with your comic, and I hope you're able to get out of that creative rut soon!
Thank you three for letting me look through your comics and give you my thoughts! You're doing great work!
