why do I ask? well, I am working on a story and I need real-life stats to make sure my focus is on the right path. so please take the survey poll and if you don't mind, tell me why you chose your answer.

The new comic which is a Romance / Drama centers around two people who indirectly fall in love with each other. This admiration happened at first sight. the attraction was very strong which potentially led to them hooking up. of course, it does not end there, eventually, as the story goes on, a series of events draw them even closer. I can't say much because this is a comic that will be launched sometime in July. I know its a long wait but I have a full-time job and I travel "ALOT". so I have to take my time and not overwork myself. it will be accessible to Patreons as early April. but as of posting for free, there will be a waiting period.

everybody's relationship starts with fiscal desire, not necessarily lust, but the two people should at the very least like the appearance of one another, love is a completely other matter one doesn't fall or feel love, love happens after trust and mutual understanding happens, it just appears one day after a long period of time being together.

impeccable logic on the matter. Now granted some people know instantly that the person they're attracted to is love (I guess its real that way sometimes). It definitely starts with physical attraction. That means someone likes the other person, and then the two go from there. If it's lust, then it's my understanding that one's sexual desires of said person are devoid of any true affection.

not necessarily, what I mean fiscal desire is more of you find them pleasing to the Eye, I.E I think this person is good looking, not necessarily in a sexual way but in a, this person looks pleasurable to be around kind of way.

I wouldn't call that love since I believe love is something more permanent and needs work to actually survive, I believe that's more in the camp of crush or infatuation with a person. that could blossom into love later on but I don't see it as love until then

i'm speaking on behalf of my new comic. that's what made my characters like each-other. the attraction was strong and eventually, they hooked up.

@IdiotWithPencil even at that, people do hook up with people that they find attractive. I wouldn't call it love because I've personally done it just to test it out. but then again, that could be an argument for someone else who probably married their spouse after they met the first time. '
in reality, its all opinion. some people believe it in and some don't.

Forgive me for waxing poetic, but: Love is deep. Love is powerful. Love is a series of personal choices made over a lifetime...or at least, as long as your acquaintance with the person in question lasts.

People simply don't enter into that kind of...perspective and level of caring for another human being based on their looks alone. And if you do, honestly, what does that say about your priorities and the way you value other people?? A pretty face is all it takes to win your soul? What about those people who you don't happen to be attracted to; are you capable of loving them as well?

That isn't to say that being extremely attracted to someone on your first meeting can't lead to deeper feelings of love later on (which tbh is what I think most people mean by 'love at first sight'). After all, you're more likely to actually TRY to help and speak to and learn about someone you want to be near all the time. But the motivation and the ensuing results are not one and the same.

Love is more of a thing that develops over time, when you've gotten to know the person, and it IS a series of choices like Doki said. Both parties have to compromise and work together, etc.

I didn't really understand what you intended to do with the poll results, so I just answered the question. Were you actually trying to get us to evaluate your premise?? Because if so, I don't think it was very clear.

ok if you say so. the goal of this poll was just to focus on Love and Lust to get an idea of what people think about the idea. believe it or not, I don't believe in love at first sight. but some people realistically do and no judgment here.
i believe it could make for a good drama/ romance story despite how unrealistic you think it is.

the idea is just to share perspective on the matter. not every post has to have a meaning behind it. some are just for fun.

i'm not seeking validation because regardless, the story is already structured to fall in that path.

that's also a factor in it, usually, if you have the money you can afford to look healthy (gym and healthy foods are expensive I assure you) and good clothes so that can factor heavily into what one sees as pleasurable.

If someone who does believe in love at first sight takes offense to my opinion, then I'd be happy to discuss it with them, but seeing as we're on 'the same side' I don't really understand what this scrutiny is for. I still haven't even been told what you think I did wrong, let alone what actual harm I may have caused with my post.
