Mestory comics (Scam?)

So I log onto Tapastic, and I get this PM

It also allows you to find artists or authors if you are looking to work with someone else on your comic idea. My gut feeling is telling me this may be a scam. I don't even know how this person could have even found me. But I was wondering if anyone else has gotten a similar message, was this perhaps copy and pasted? Some of the wording in the message tells me it may have been. (" Thank you for A system of Solares. Fantastic comics!" )

I tried googling these guys and couldn't find much of anything, does anyone else have any info on these guys?

I heard another artist, @CalimonGraal, got a message like that, too. According to them, they also think it's a scam.

I was gonna make a forum post about this as well, but I thought it was just myself at first. I got the exact same DM as you.

I checked the website and the only three comics I found on there were two random piece of manga and Fairy Tail that was title on the site "Fairytale". I can't even view the comics so I can't telll what's inside them, and the descriptions are literally all the same.

I'm betting that this whole thing is just a scam of some sort.

I got the same message, and my alarm bells started ringing. It sounds fishy, and I'm avoiding even visiting their site, in case it's phishing.

Yeah, that? Makes me believe this is not above board. I'd advise people to avoid it for now.

Also, it's probably a good idea to let @michaelson know that this is going on. If it's another case like that comic-aggregator site that popped up a few weeks ago, it's best the staff be aware of it.

Yeah I got it too and I kinda regret clicking the link but I'm keeping an eye on everything just in case @_@ Glad I'm not the only person who got it although I suspected it was probably a mass e-mailing thing.

I don't trust scouts fishing for artists for their platform site on another platform site.

Seems relatively fishy and did a little research. Turns out it's legitimate but for now I say don't trust it and wait until the websites actually develops. Turns out it's a chinese company, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually a phishing scam.

MeStory from what i googled in general appears to be some story ebook reading app for selfpublished?? stories... but I wouldn't trust the PM, especially since the site it links to looks like a terrible mockup with random official manga plastered on it.

looks like a poorly scripted bot site.
They can't posibly expect me to believe they are crowfunding fairytail (which they spelled wrong), samuray X (don't this one ended ages ago?).
But more importantly, when you enter a site and there's this little icon that says you have new notifications, messages and somehow you're logged in, that's just a huge red flag.

But yeah @michaelson has already been redirected to this thread, so the Tapas staff should be able to deal with it the same way they've dealt with spammers/bots in the past.

Got one too, went to check online and found this on yahoo answers

Seems to be a scam but even if it isn't, doesn't seem to be worth it anyway.

I got it too, couldn't find anything on them. Google kept trying to correct it to 'mystery comics' when I searched for mestory comics haha.

I got the same message shortly after I updated my comic. My comic doesn't even have mass appeal so the moment I got that PM it has scam written all over it.XD

However, clicking the link didn't get me anywhere, just a site that didn't exist.

I got this message yesterday too. Assumed it was something "phishy" (lol at me) and didn't follow through.
