if u right click it and a menu comes up with options to open it in any way then u immediately know that it'll lead to the outside crowdfunding website

That's not good enough though. Common users do not know this, and requiring you to mouse over it to see if it goes anywhere is NOT a good design philosophy. Even without interacting with an element, you should know whether or not clicking on it will incite an action, and it should always be consistent.

The thing is, almost no user sees a banner the same as another. The shape, size, and resolution of your screen change how it's viewed, cutting off sometimes VERY large sections. Plus, if you scroll down at all, you can no longer see the banner! It's just too easy to miss, especially as most people don't scan the entire banner to see if that exists or not.

Yes, you can make your top banner a link to your patreon.

And now, you can make a banner near the share button that can link to patreon.

Ummm, I have a question about the number of dollars supporters give that appear under "support this creator" button, when is that going to disappear? I mean, I don't have a problem with it, it's just that I promised to send links to some of my Trivia from Nature episodes to some teachers at my school and I just don't want to have to explain things when someone asks what the number of dollars mean... Uh, you know, Czechs are really nosy when it comes to money, especially earned the unusual way like this... =.=; Sorry for the stupid question >.>

gotta say, so far I'm having rotten luck with patreon. declined pleages, barely any supporters moving over due to distrust of the platform. Its super discouraging to continue a support program, especially when the old one worked so well.

I'm thinking over alternatives now since I'm not won over by this switch :/

I know how you feel Holly, and I was from inkblazers too so I understand how it throws you right back into that place we were all in a year ago. I also am not a fan of patreon for a whole host of reasons. Hopefully, because as far as I understand it, at some point the ad-revenue will return to being paid and remain even after support ends, we could earn again one day. Whenever that is. So, there's a glimmer of hope in the form of ads at least. It's just a question of when we will receive payment again from ads and if it will change much.

There are NO changes to the ad-revenue system. You can withdraw ad revenue once your balance hits $25.

Oh ok thanks for getting back to me on that- I just assumed that there was because I can see my views going up and up but no matter how high it gets the balance for this month stays at zero. I guess it just turns out that I hit the same bug that some other creators have had at the same time as the support was scrapped and assumed they were linked. Have found your reply on that thread though and will send you a screenshot. Thanks.
