There's nothing about this type that's opposed to art! From the linked site:

INTPs pride themselves on their inventiveness and creativity, their unique perspective and vigorous intellect.
[...]
when they find an environment where their creative genius and potential can be expressed, there is no limit to the time and energy INTPs will expend in developing an insightful and unbiased solution.
[...]
They may appear to drift about in an unending daydream, but INTPs’ thought process is unceasing, and their minds buzz with ideas from the moment they wake up.

Just because a description compares them to scientists or whatever doesn't mean that your type "doesn't match." All of those qualities can be applied to creating art or inventing stories, too!

And think about how many creators come at comics from completely different perspectives! Some plan meticulously, some get bored if their plans are too rigid. Some want to get every technical aspect right, some don't care if the technique is abstracted as long as it tells the story. Some are self-indulgent with tropes they love, some desperately want to be unique. Some are in it to tell a story that touches others, some just want to tell their story regardless of who reads it, and some are just making comics because it's fun. It'd be weird if we all fell into the same personality type just because we're all artists.

And heck, ask a bunch of creators at, say, a comic convention, and you might get a very different set of data!

Also INTJ and female :stuck_out_tongue:
Kinda interesting to see that there are quite a few in this thread ^^

INTJ... But my brother called me a FPP (fantasy prone personality) cuz of my belief in Jesus... /Sigh

TOO MANY INTROVERTS! I am ESFP! Holla! The performer... comes as no surprise. I have known this for a while and every test I take I get ESFP. It also lines up with being a Gryffindor and pretty much being part of every club in high school :joy: :joy:

As for my personality alignment I am Chaotic Neutral. That combined with an ESFP personality makes me the ultimate troll, which I don't mind, it gives me a great sense of humor  Also, I talk about myself a lot, apparently ESFPs do that often :information_desk_person:

Honestly I have never found many ESFP people, maybe the world spreads us out because if we all get together we can burn the place down? IDK, but I always find it interesting. Oh, I'm male if you are doing any data on this thread

Took the test and I am INFP -A , confident individual they said LMAO (More like I'm just an introvert who doesn't give a shet) The description is actually quite spot on for me! Love all (?), trust few and do wrong none haha.

I had to take this test something like 4 times over the entire time I was at university and I always got INTP. :-=

I am an INTP -A, -T, Logician. I didn't think it fit at first, but after reading it actually made sense.

When I was younger, I'd turn up INTJ, but I am consistently INTP now.

Huh... I got an INTJ( a-/ t-, architect personality). And I really don't like it xD

Although there were a lot of the description I liked, some I agree and some don't. I've always found personality tests a fun read, just that.

I think it becomes clear that a majority of comic creators are at least of the introverted type, and that converges from what I've seen IRL as well. I am an INTP myself.

I'm INFPT Too  MEDIATOR "these feelings"( the pic make me out to be an elven hippie. XD)
I do like the outdoors, mostly for a change of scenery.
(feeling misunderstood for your passions).. wow they really hit the nail on the head for me :grimacing:

Im an INFP. I've taken the test a handful of times over the past few years with no change in result and it describes me pretty well I guess.

I'm INTJ female as well and have spent a long time looking into and researching MBTI and the underlying cognitive functions. I could go on and on about the credibility of the test and its uses and purposes, but no one wants to read all that. It's all available online for the curious individual anyway. I'll just say, there is some merit to it, especially in personal development, and it's very useful for improving your understanding of yourself and others, with caution of course. All of this would require a deeper dive into all the types and their 8 cognitive functions, which the casual 'test taker' won't do.

There is also a lot to say on this topic and its possible relation to comic creation, but it's a whole lot of minutia to go through and explain...I think anyone interested could figure it out on their own.

I dont really believe in these tests or my results, which are the same as I got from the same test like two years ago. its (INTJ-T) but says architect. (shrugs) bellow are the results from this one, if it helps idk.

79%INTROVERTED
71%INTUITIVE
53%THINKING
65% JUDGING
71%TURBULENT

Artists are often introverts in my experience, I believe it is because when you hang out less with the crowd, you have a lot more free time to practice art.
