Wee baby Anna, born in '88, used to listen to her parents' weirdo prog-rock albums from the 70s as a kid. It kind of stuck with me! Also, for some variety to this thread, it's in Swedish!

Nationalteatern with the song Rövarkungens Ö. It's, uh, intensely critical of captialism, because 70s prog-rock.

When I was very young, my parents would play stuff like Louis Armstrong and old 60s music.

But when it came to stuff I chose for myself...well in the late 90s I would listen to Radio Disney. My parents then bought me Radio Disney Jams vol 3 and 4. I also had some Nick (Kid's Choice Awards) CDs which had very similar like music.

Most of the songs just sounded like this

I was born in 1993 and most of the songs I liked were from the 80's, 90's, and possibly 70's.

This was one of my favorite songs as a child, my family tells me I'd go crazy in my carseat whenever this song came on the radio.

Oh dude dude, yes, "Glycerine" is sublime. I adore anything off of Sixteen Stone, though, aaah.

I'm an 80's baby and a 90's kid. Having grown up out of a car, music was a backdrop for my entire childhood and man, I am deeply attached to 90's grunge and alternative because of it.

A few songs remind me of very specific moments in my life while others became the wallpaper~
"She Don't Use Jelly" - The Flaming Lips
"I Got a Girl" - Tripping Daisy
"Pets" - Porno for Pyros
"Everything Zen" - Bush
"December" - Collective Soul

And pretty much the entirety of Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins. These were really important conversation pieces between my brothers, my mom, and me. LOVE and respect always through music, I learned so much about myself and people just by being a listener~

@NickRowler Oh my gosh, A Teens. >.< What a blast from the past. Fun fact - out of those four teens, three of them fell back into obscurity once the group imploded, but the blonde girl is a reasonably popular tv-show host on Swedish tv these days.

i grew up with the millenium in britain so i had busted, s club 7, moving into jls when i was a little older. owl city was also a very early favourite of mine!

generally though i listened to a bunch of random music that was left on my parents itunes, and i never found some of the 90s rnb again
