I'm kind of similar to JTaKeo with naming my characters. I usually try to find names that have a meaning that fits to the character in some way but the most important thing is that the name sounds cool. The meaning doesn't matter to me too much as long as I like the sound and the look of the name.
One of my favourite names I've found and used for my OCs are Atticus, Elspeth, Edith, Ernest, Stella, Castiel, Madelaine, Vester and Heather.
I usually try to avoid names from famous people or the people I know because I don't want them to influence the character too much or make other people think about the person right away when they see the name. In my current novel, I named one of my characters Leon which is also the name of my boyfriend's dog and I always think of the dog when I read the name >.< But it fit the character so nicely I couldn't pass the opportunity. But definitely makes things a bit difficult sometimes
I use a lot of the same sites that have been mentioned here already, mainly behindthename.com since you can easily search for names there with many different criteria, like country, sex or meaning. They also have some other categories such as Saints, pop culture names etc. you can find if you go to the bottom of the name page you're looking at.
I also just few days ago stumbled upon some Youtube videos where people talk about baby names and I've been watching those quite a lot.
This channel has a lot of different videos about baby names in so many different categories. If you can think of a theme for names, she probably has a video on it.
