Most of my favourites are already mentioned, like

• from enemies to lovers
• forbidden love (characters from different groups/cliques, bad boy + good girl, etc.)
• having to share the bed (cough, I used this just recently cough)
• Christmas special
• grumpy character that has a soft spot
• caring for each other while sick

I also like
- characters bumping, crashing, running into each other / unexpected encounter
- having to work together and falling in love in the process
- and bunch of other stuff I can't think of rn

2. Falling in love with someone's personality and loving their innards instead of their outtards XD
3. In straight relationships, showing that the male character has flaws just as much as the female and needs her as much as she needs him.
4. Both the characters are a little shy and have to work doubly hard to get close to one another.
5. Both characters are damaged and it's something they have in common.

All of this, pretty much, but I have an extra:

I always have a soft spot for couples meeting somewhere secret at night, especially if the couple is living a forbidden love, and then they have to part again. Then they'll try to meet again...sounds like Romeo and Juliet, but it's not that kind of thing, I'd rather go with the "couples suffer a lot, but get together in the end" kind of story.

I love when:

_Character A asks Character B for help to get the attention of someone they have a crush on, but Character A ends up falling for Character B instead

_Character A refuses to call Character B by their actual name and gives them a nickname (often to tease them or looking down on them) but THEN something bad happens to Character B, like get hurt, and Character A suddenly switches to calling them by their real name BECAUSE THIS IS SERIOUS NOW

4) one of the characters say their not into guys (at the end they get in a relationship with a guy XD)

• Adding to the they can't stand each other at first but fall in love opposites attract thing: constantly bickering to total odd couple Vitriolic Best Buds trope then to lovers.
• Although best friends to lovers totally does it too.
• The already established couple who are just done with these guys not getting together.
• Height differences! Especially with super fluffy but looks terrifying big one and sharp and snarky but adorable looking little one.
• Super flashy cheesy one with the grumpy scowly one.
• Prince/Princess and their knight.

I'm not big on romance at all, most of the stuff listed I actually really hate lol.

But I do like the trope of characters having amazing chemistry together because they are friends, and they develop romantic feelings from that, but both are too afraid to say anything because they're scared of ruining their friendship by involving romance in it. So it's just a lot of uncertainty and pining drama with them usually confiding in one another every time a relationship they're in turns sour. (if they're dating other people anyway, which they usually are) and it's just really rewarding for me when they finally are brave enough to try romance in their relationship.

I love the trope where one has to bandage or look after the other one if they get hurt or sick, or both haha.

I'm also a fan of the two characters disagreeing only to find an understanding and come together and fall in love. I like seeing two characters actually disagree over fundamental differences as it reveals who they are as characters and I like the feeling of sitting there going, "ooooo, this is hard cause they both have a point,"

Also, big fan of female characters who feel well rounded and flawed beyond being clumsy. I like em to have a little fight in them.
