I am definitely participating in Nano. I have been sooo looking forward to it. Although I was a complete pantser on my last book, this time I do have some major plot points figured out ahead of time, as well as many characters. Well, for me anyway. lol. As long as I get that first line down, I am good.

Two more days to go! (Well, more like one and a half now, in California.)

For those of you who participate in NaNo and decide to post your work on Tapas during the month of November, I have some cool news! I was talking with the folks who put together the Daily Snack and they let me know that they'll be looking through the #nanowrimo2017 tag throughout the month for novels to put in the Daily Snack. No guarantees, of course, but if you're planning on participating, it can't hurt to tag your novel!

Also, one last reminder that we'll be hanging out in the Tapas NaNoWriMo 2017 Discord tomorrow night starting at 10 PM PST to get everyone geared up for NaNo and start writing the first few thousand words of our novels! I'll also probably be doing some posting here in the forums. There will be other events throughout November, so if you'll be busy tomorrow night enjoying Halloween/your last night of freedom, there will be other times to join in. Hope to see some of you online!

Yay! I finally did it! Thanks for giving me the encouragement to finally write this thing, tapas!

I read through all the advice and also decided I'll be uploading my novel chapters to tapas after NanoWriMo, however. I think I'd like the chance to edit them so you guys get more finished writing from the first.

How is everyone coming along? I have done almost 5,000 words. But I am trying to get ahead cause this weekend is very busy.

I am tempted to put a chapter or two on this month to get the chance to be part of the daily snack. But I am also worried that will start me off before I am ready. lol. Oh, dilemmas. lol

Other than that I am having great fun! I love writing.

Hello. Some question here.
-Is there any word limits for a chapter on Tapas? (Never done it, so idk)
-Can we add picture in the stories or its only for the premium novel? (I heard there's no option for it?)
-What is the usual words count for a 'normal' novel chapters on Tapas? Because sometimes there's some peoples saying that one of their chapter is too long for a regular tapas novel or something? And my first chapter is a little bit more than 2000 words atm (not yet finished the first chapter, so I don't know the exact number).
-I don't remember my other question.

I know there is a character limit of 15,000 (roughly) I have seen some novels around 1500-1900 words but could be more. I do not know anything about pictures in novels (hopefully its possible would make reading interesting)

As someone else said, there is a 15K character limit for chapters.

Right now, I don't believe you can add pictures to the stories. I don't really read the premium novels, but for the ones I do read, I've never seen pictures in the chapters.

I don't know the general length for chapters on Tapas. I know the premium novels usually have short chapters, but maybe they are trying to stretch out the context. For myself, I try to make my chapters 3K words for my readers.

Week 2 of NaNo has begun!

How is everyone doing? Are you ahead? Behind? Successfully hitting your exact word count goal each day?

I, personally, am super behind. I haven't even crossed the 1k threshold yet. I'm hopeful I'll be able to catch up at some point, but since life seems so insistent on getting in my way, I'm just trying to do what I can each day.

Remember, you can also discuss NaNo stuff in the Discord channel. And make sure that if you're posting your novel to Tapas you're using the hashtag #nanowrimo2017! That gives you a chance to be featured in a few different ways.

Broke past 10,000 words last night and I think I may start posting on Tapas soon I wanted to make sure I had a few "tapas chapters" ready before I let loose to cover any days I am behind on word counts x)
