Needing help with a thing

So, my comic is still fairly new. I created it so I could force myself to push my art skills with a schedule, repetition, and being forced to think about things from new angels and perspectives.

Well, that's doing well, and even in the short time the comic has been active, there has been a great deal of improvement in these things.

I've run into a slight impass, however, wherethe art is all well enough and I"m striving to make things flow together even better, getting down my style before chapter two, but the characters. I really want to breath some more life into them.

So what I ask of you is...

Give me a short situation. Simple problems or issues. Maybe a quote of someone telling them something. It does not need to be in anyway relevant to my world or my story. The main characters are two dudes, but outside of that, just toss me a short prompt/scenario.

I really want to write a snip of how they would react. And hey! Maybe other people here could really make use of the prompts as well!

What would they do if it started raining screaming fish and a baseball player ran up to them and gave them baseball bats and told them to swing at the fish coming down to see if they could get a home run?

Then, what if that same scenario happened but the baseball player offered that the two go into a competition of who could hit a fish the farthest, the winner would earn eternal life, but the looser would loose one random member from their family.

That or what if they just saw a kitten stuck in a tree but a bulldog was guarding it, what would they do.

Ok let me try some stuff.

Your characters are driving somewhere separately and both are late for an appointment to something that might change their lives. The what can be whatever your characters hold to be important. How do your characters react to being late? Do the panic? Are they Angry? Are they cool headed about it?

Your characters are at the zoo. What is their favorite animal and why?

These are very good! And they will certainly help me get to some of the deep nitty gritty of who they are. The zoo animal will be tough, and I look forward to it! (Currently at work and about to close up shop.) Itching to write these!

I don't really have any scenario ideas but I can give some advice!! To make your characters "come to life" it's good to base them on people you know, be it family, friends, acquaintances etc. Imo personalities are pretty complex, just like anatomy. It doesn't have to be fully based on 1 person, you could take traits of different people and Frankenstein it.

Also when you go out in public or talk to someone, take notes (probably in your mind lol) of how conversation flows and how people talk to each other. Take note of their body language too!! Anyways that's all I have to say ^-^ I wish you the best with your scenario exercises!!
