So they just updated the Tapas Layout. If I'm honest, it looks really good. My only problem with it is that you can't actually find certain main genres anymore. You'd have to go out of your way to find a series. One of the hidden main genres being Science Fiction. (Call me biased but Its what Let's Go Hero falls under. With this new change I might have to update the main genre.) It made me kind of sad that it's hidden now. What are your thoughts?

Oh, I do not like this new layout at all. They've removed the option to show only free to read. They've put all of the so-called "Premium" comics at the front. This drives all the free comics way down (for example in the BL category you have to go down 108 comics before you get to the free ones). Smaller, independent comics no longer even have a chance of being seen.

They seem to be hiding a lot of comics as well: Under the LGBTQ section there are only 41 comics listed (the first 14 of which as so-called "Premium"). Come on now. There are WAY more than 41 LGBTQ comics! Hell, I follow about a hundred of 'em!

No more "Popular", "Trending", "New" sections either. Looks like Tapas doesn't want people to find your comics.

I'm confused as to why they consolidated the genre search so much. What if I honestly just want comedy over fantasy romance or fantasy action? It's a limited list. And I see what you meant about more specifically searching for a comic/novel. My novel's main genre isn't in the genre options anymore so that's really annoying..

It feels like change just for change's sake. Or maybe they needed to make their programmers do some work instead of playing frisbee in the parking lot? Can't say that I've noticed any improvement in functionality.

It's Webtoon 2.0 now, with a slightly better bandwidth, Free comics are now in the Community Section so we dare not impede the paying customers access to the Premium fare up front. :sleepy:

I must say that I thoroughly dislike this new layout. It looks squished together from both sides which wastes way too much space on my screen. The illustrations look chopped off on both sides, too. There are fewer selections per category, and there are fewer categories! I find this layout much less aesthetically pleasing than before, and much less functional as well. It's harder to locate the selections I'm seeking and there is increased eyestrain now too. Why exchange an attractive, functional layout for what shows up now?

I REALLY want the old layout back, or something very close to it. Why make such a radical change from what we had before? I find there to be less functionality now compared to the previous format--in fact, I can't find any improvements at all. I subscribe to a great many comics and novels on Tapas so I have to mess with this deficient layout frequently in order to view my favorites. I think of myself as a longtime user by now, and I think your content is very good, but if things don't improve, I will be reluctant to subscribe to new series and may become irritated enough to start dropping titles. Please listen to those of us who care enough to have spoken up and fix. this problem. Change for change's sake is not sufficient justification to foist such a radical, awkward layout on your readership. Bring back the former gorgeous format!
