Newbie here+Your Motivation

Hello
I'm new to this community and just wanted to introduce myself (couldn't find a fitting thread, if there is already one just correct me and I'll delete this one)
I'm a creator, 20 years old, live in Germany (I am going to apologise for my bad english beforehand) and am drawing ever since I was in elementaryschool.
This is actually the first forum I ever signed up for
Well this should just be a short introduction.

I'm mostly drawing when I'm depressed or to compensate stress from school or now from University or when I'm just overly motivated and inspired.
What are the moments when draw the most?
When do you get the most inspired?

Welcome! I try to draw at least a little everyday because I'm trying to improve my digital drawing skills, but it can be tough sometimes.

My motivation often comes from the reassurance of my readers, and the joy I find in creating. The time spent on a page is often tiring and even sometimes overwhelming, but once one is done, the pleasure that comes from seeing the end product is more than anything else I do. I feel accomplished every episode uploaded, and each one is a stepping stone towards growing and getting better at art, at storytelling, and self-fulfillment.

This sounds wonderful. (Maybe one day it will also be my inspiration)
I'm still at the beginning for me it was always a 'Safe place' where I can put out all of my frustration.
It is just too sad to let those things lying around, also I wanted to take drawing a bit more serious and publishing really does help to improve.

Hi and welcome! I live in the US, I like to travel, though I've never been to Germany (I can speak a little German ).
My comic is Pixy Byte and it's about the funny adventures of Pixy, Flippers, Penguin, and Poot!
I tend to draw the most when I'm depressed, or nervous. Pixy Byte helps immensely in that way, it makes me happier and gives other people a smile/laugh too and that always feels amazing. The feedback is also what inspires me to keep drawing and improve to tell a better story/joke.

Hi and welcome!!!!!
I hate to admit it but my motivation comes from people. Not just my readers who are very improtant to me love em all!!. But people who gave up in the past who i use to admire people who went on a permanent hiatus due to something ....usually pretty stupid. Part of What keeps me going is that i don't do alot of things that make me feel fufilled and happy...because there is not alot that gives me such satisfaction as creating something sad. Funny or beautiful.

That is what I like the most about creating your on story, it can be completly up to you how what when happens.
I have complete control over it and if it doesn't satisfy me I can easily change it.

I think if it motivates you then it isn't stupid
Motivation is crucial for creating regardless where it comes from.^^

Hey F31, welcome to tapastic! This is the first forum I joined up as well. People here are real nice so don't be shy in posting/commenting.

As for me, I draw because It's my salvation. I don't have much friends talk to so I'm a pretty lonely person. When I draw my characters, it helps me to cope up with life. If I stop drawing, them I'm nothing. I want to express myself that I could never ever do with words alone so here I am doing a webcomic. If people like them that I'd be totally happy because I know there are people out there who appreciates my work and I'll know that I'm not worthless.

Hi, @F31! Welcome to Tapastic. : ) It's a nice place, so I'm sure you'll like it here. (also your English is just fine, and nothing to apologise for!)

I'm from Sweden, and I'm a freelance illustrator and comic artist, and I spend most of my spare time drawing my comic Grassblades.

What are the moments when draw the most?

I would like to say "all the time", because it's true. I don't draw when I'm sick, and I do sometimes manage to convince myself to take a day off, but mostly I just draw. I spend a little time hanging around the forums/social media in the morning, catching up on what's happened during the night, but then I start drawing. I draw until lunch, take a lunchbreak, then draw until dinner. Sometimes, I take the night off, and sometimes I go right back to drawing. I can, and will, draw for 12+ hours at a time (getting up regularly and stretching, of course!)

When do you get the most inspired?

... usually when I'm away from my desk and can't draw. XD I can be in miles away from home, doing something else important, and all of a sudden I get the "aaaah I have to DRAW!"-feeling - and I can't do anything about it!

But in general, I get inspired by other works of fiction - movies, books, other comics, etc., etc. - by historical events (I'm a big history nerd!) and by things people do and say around me.

I find inspiration through conversations with my friends, things I see on the internet, or something I want to express from personal experience. I'm currently in the habit of living vicariously through my own characters--as weird and dumb as that sounds. XD But it's fun!

I know this feeling so much...
I have a parttime job at a restaurant and I akways draw doodles on those little writing pads which we use for taking orders, because I can't take it...
My inspiration definitly has a bad timing. XD
