Combined prompts again and decided to go with Alyssa this time! I think the palette really suited her, even if I half assed the wings, lol.

Day 17: Palette #5/Serene/Magic

Back to drawing Aster because he's a mage so the magic part was easy. His earring turns into a bird that carries messages for him when it's urgent or something he wants to keep secret. Or when he's too lazy to write a note, lol

@vapidink Omg this is so pretty I love her design and the color palettes look so good!!! Honestly, it’s super impressive how many of the prompts you’ve done?! Like damn I barely finished two More props to you though, that’s awesome!! So many good drawings?? Also I see so many good drawings of my boy Aster I haven’t got to reading him yet but I know I love him just through what I read and see in the forums xD

@VibrantFox OOOH!! These are so adorable! RIP forlorn comic idea, the main character design is very nice though, I have characters like that who just end up floating in story limbo. I’ve been sketching a few anthro things myself too. But I feel you, I’m also behind on most of these prompts

I very lazily drew one for relationships day, I was working on a more finished piece but it’s currently stuck in the shadow realm of my WIPs So I did a quick drawing of my characters Theo and Kay! Basically Theo is a girl who makes the best boyfriend and Kay is a guy who makes the best girlfriend lol??! They start out as roommates, so I guess it’s friends to lovers trope? One of them accidentally gets turned into a vampire tho Yes, accidentally!

Thank you! Honestly, I kinda got used to doing these every year, lol. The palettes are surprisingly easier because of the limit on colors. I can just block out shapes and go from there. And two is still good! Sometimes there's just a lot going on in life to draw right? Also, Aster's my go to because I'm so used to drawing him it's easy, lol!

Theo and Kay look great! I love your style, btw. You use color so well and I love how textured your art is, so pretty! Also, how does one get turned into a vampire on accident?

Day 18: Palette #6/ Monster/Scary

Okay, so one of my unpublished WIPs has a manticore in it, which was perfect for today! I love mythical creatures and monsters so I had fun doing this, but it's really rushed because I was out all day, lol.

This is a scene from later on in Dreamseer where Aster dives into some freezing water for a shiny crystal, lol. I had some trouble deciding what to draw, but I like what I ended up with!

Guys I’ve been so burn out and then non stop action movie for two days it felt like I’m glad to have a day to relax finally, and come back to check some cool art!

@vapidink I might just save the color palettes for later because they do look really fun! I looove the manticore design Monster girl designs just hit different lol. I also really like the watercolor effect on the hair for the character from moontokkym!! So pretty

And how does one turn in a vampire on accident?! UHHH?? Well Theo thought she was dreaming, so when one of her apartment neighbors asked if she wanted to be turned, she was like yeah sure whatever, probably way too casually. But then that wasn’t a dream… She’s still getting a hold of being a dream psychic And yes there’s just casually a vampire living in their apartment complex, without anyone knowing- people don’t believe in vampires normally in universe lol (also thank you! I’ve had their designs for ages)

The burn out is real. I dunno why this time of year is always exhausting. But just go at your own pace! It's more important that you enjoy the art that you make than that you just make art for the sake of being productive!

Also, yes, the palette's are so fun! I'm awful at using colors so it's fun to toy around with them and it's easier with just a few to work with. I need limits so I don't drive myself mad. moontokkym just has pretty characters, I swear, lol.

Okay, well, that's the most relatable "I got turned into a vampire" story I've heard. Like, uh huh, suuure you're a vampire and I'm totally not dreaming. Tbf, who would expect there to be a vampire just living in an apartment complex. It's always castles or manors or something, lol.

Yeah I’m feeling it forreal I need to rest some more I think, but I’ve been drawing doodles still. Honestly you work really well with color it looks like, despite you not working with color all that often. I’ve really been enjoying seeing the full color pieces ^_^!!

And now … I’m realizing I have one too many vampire characters that are just some rando in an apartment complex I even have a vampire who’s essentially just a homeless dude too??! lol I guess I’m really not making sexy vampires I only make cursed characters, it’s what I got.

I guess this is for one of the earlier prompts, but I drew something for under appreciated characters! I draw alot of chubbier and plus size women so I wanted to draw more of the guys who are also fluffier?? This it turned out cute though I’m happy with it :3 (no vampires included, I apologize in advance for the lack of vampires )

They all look so good! Paris looks so put together though, but I like Tomato's punk style. Love the different patterns, it's nice to see so much variation in the outfits. They really give off their own vibes

lol yeah Paris wanted to be a beatnik but he was 30-40 years too late to that movement lmao so he’s left just being pretentious! I adore Tomato he’s an Oni that’s also a punk! Thank you though I’m glad you like their outfits, I spend way too much time each day just looking at clothing I swear

Also the watercolor brushes you use look so good in your style gaaah!! I love the texture of it, it does give the illusion of being traditional art!
