One Kind Thing You Did For Yourself Today- mental health check in

This is your friendly neighborhood therapist (no, really.) I'm hoping to catch you mid scroll, between "sub for sub" and "promote your new chapter" threads.

I'd like to take a second and ask you to do one kind thing for yourself today. That could be:
-Getting a glass of water
-Eating
-Positive self talk (its okay if you arent getting subs as fast as you want)
-Taking a break

After cooking healthy for two weeks in a row, I decided to order some (still relatively healthy) Indian food. I really enjoy trying new things, but covid has made a lot of exploring impossible, so I decided to treat myself to some food I had never tried before.

What did you do for yourself today @jkb4753 ?

I love indian food. Maybe that's what ill order tonight. I know what you're going through because I've also been missing exploring new foods.

My kind thing I did was taking a bath. It's super cold here. There was a big snowstorm last weekend and its been about 30 degrees every day. I took a hot bath to get my body back to normal temperature, lol.

I have mixed feelings about working from home, but one benefit that I absolutely dig and indulged in earlier today is the ability to take a break and just lay in bed comfortably for a short while I do a lot of computer work so sometimes my eyes get tired from starting at screens for so long (not to mention that I do digital art and play video games otherwise...) so it's nice to just plop and relax to refresh!

Sometimes it's like "if only my boss saw me literally lying in bed during the work day " but it's like nah, screw it. I deserve this* xD

I've been working non-stop with the comic and content that can be attractive for people to help me in Patreon, and other projects I was thinking to get money as we've been using a lot because we're moving out of country (because of my father's job) in a few months, all while learning a new language, paying my scholarship, trying to find a job that is suitable for the few months I'd stay before moving and still be able to make my comic and so on.

I just reduced the load of work today, to have time to think on all of this.

I'll be talking with some close friends of mine in a few hours as well.

Perhaps clean my bedroom a little.

Wow! You have A LOT going on. I'd say you deserve a break. Your problems will still be there when you get back, but for now be kind to yourself while you tackle life

bought pizza for lunch since it's been a while since we've had a treat

also finally getting back in the swing of working on comics so aside from my slice of life comic i'm also playing around with my self indulgent among us au (currently messing around with character designs for the crew) so it feels good being some form of productive again

Today’s not the greatest day, but I got out of the house and visited my speech therapist :))

I haven't had a chance to do anything kind for myself today, because I've been teaching since 7:30am and I won't finish until 1:30pm... But as soon as I get home, I'm having a well-deserved nap. I only got about 4 hours sleep last night as my partner was out supporting a friend at a music gig, so I'm absolutely knackered.

Not gonna lie, had a pretty dang bad night last night in terms of mental health. When I woke up this morning, I didn't want to sit around and do nothing, because I was still feeling bad, so I decided to go out and go to the state park here and take a nice walk. It was really nice, the weather was chilly but blue sky, and I even saw a bald eagle. So that definitely lifted my spirits a bit!
