Agreed, I'm not a huge fan of sub for sub either and I much prefer knowing my readers subscribed because they have an interest in the story, rather than to get something in exchange. That said, I do check out stories of people who subscribe to mine and make sure to subscribe if I find them interesting (which doesn't mean that if I don't subscribe back I think your story is bad or whatever, it's just that it's probably not a genre I'm into and/or something I don't think I will be able to keep up with as of now... that's especially true for novels and/or comics with hundreds of updates: I'm a slow reader and English is not my first language, so it takes me longer to keep up with a novel/long form comic that's been going on for years D: ). I'm already subscribed to one of the stories posted here, but I will definitely make sure to check everyone else's stories as well!
In the meantime, here's mine. It's an urban fantasy with mystery and horror elements, featuring a bunch of different characters who never met before yet appear to have a lot more in common than they think if you like stories with large casts of characters, tv series like Supernatural/Buffy The Vampire Slayer/Charmed, rock/metal music and long haired dudes, this might be the comic for you :'D Note: the story will contain some triggering themes, including but not limited to violence, strong language and abuse.
