I’m not sure if the gallery will? There’s only a few selected pieces in the promo and mines not in there. But I have posted them on my instagram but that’s secret :sparkles: My instagram isn’t just art it’s like my irl connected blog too so I feel uncomfortable sharing it the World Wide Web over here :0

ahh, it's a bummer they didn't share it. but i guess i can live without xd

I guess I can show you a little bit from the show haha so you aren’t left always wondering :sob:

It’s a sacred heart! A symbol is Catholicism  I’m not Catholic but I come from a family of people who are and it’s heavily influenced me growing up, so the imagery still sticks in my art because it’s so closely tied my Mexican heritage.

yeah, Catholicism is a big thing in many hispanic cultures. it made its way into my novel for that reason too, tho i'm not catholic either. kind of a funny coincidence lol. There;s something about the way you shade the blushes or flush on the faces that i really like, though i can't put my finger on what exactly it is about it. it's really pretty.

Yes exactly! It is a big part of Hispanic cultures, I mean I still observe a lot of the holidays even without being Catholic anymore. Also thank you! It’s actually an exaggeration of hyperpigmentation on the face, like dark circles, on some people it’s extends to the corner of the eye and further below and looks a bit like blush. I’ve noticed it on many people so I like including in my art :sparkles:

It's interesting the sort of things people notice and include in their art, because tbh, I've never noticed that sort of hyperpigmentation at all lol. Maybe it's because the hyperpigmentation I've seen looks different on people with my complexion and there about, which is most people i see regularly

Oh true, hyperpigmentation comes in all different spots and shades. I guess I’m taking reference from a lot of the people I grew up with, who were mostly Hispanic. A lot of my aunties have this type of dark circles, and I have it a little bit too. I see it also on people who just have olive undertones without being Hispanic too tho!

On darker skin I tend to notice the hyperpigmentation is on the eyelids? But not always the case, everyone is so different and I think that’s cool to capture in art  my dad actually has such dark pigmentation on his eyelids it looks like he’s wearing eyeshadow lol I think it looks pretty cool honestly, so I add deeper tones to eyelids/around the eyes often in my art.

Also I’m taking an impromptu vacation to Chicago so I’ll be back on the forums in few days!! >:0 I’m going to buy so much art supplies….

Who also wants Harry’s outfit?

Yah know what I’ll just drop The Magic Trio too

most of the people around me are Hispanic too, but we're black hispanics

I think Mora in Elsie's outfit would be cool to see. Want to do an art trade?

I agree with you; it's a great selection, just like the character designs by Koe Wetzel .

This outfit of Mora's isn't canon, so ignore it, it's just my best reference for my current art level and her design.

These outfits, but in the art style shown above (when it comes to Mora, not for Texas, it's actually supposed to look that tiny and cute lol)

19 days later

This thread is so dead, but here are a few more fits

(this sketch is so old at this point lol)

And yes, your oc would be getting a riff on Mara's Marilyn Monroe hair

Oh! Mara's outfit is def something one my characters would work. Sorry I haven't been on as much, RIP to all the people I was gonna draw outfits for. I want to get back to it I've just been super burn out so I'm trying to recover lol
