Oh yes, sorry for not clarifying!

The art examples are indeed for general art, whereas the concept art are for the characters to be used inside the comic you apply.

Of course if you don't have any yet, you are free to just give them a written description.

We've been planning out our kickstarter and thought about adding stickers and postcards to the backer rewards, maybe some other things too (by all means help us brainstorm!)

(as much as we'd love to send backers mugs with your art, that'd be too expensive, yes we thought about it too)

We were wondering if maybe some of you would like to help us make little pieces of art considering coffee to put on said stickers and postcards. These can be with one of your characters, just a random piece involving the theme, etc.

We ourselves will design a couple as well, but this is intended as a community collaboration and we think all your art should come before ours.

Mega dig the idea of stickers and postcard packs -- affordable incentives that give a little highlight to the artists' range of work within the coffee theme. You sound like you've all put an excellent amount of thought into this so just be mindful not to stretch yourselves (and your artists) too thin on budget as most backers will be more than happy with a nice, meaty anthology!

Perhaps as a stretch goal? Bookmarks are also really popular rewards and are awesome to have on hand as promotional material at conventions.

Oh yes! We knew we were forgetting something! XD

Of course stretch goals are the slight hope we have of reaching, but these smaller rewards are a lot cheaper to send and hopefully will make the backers feel it's worth their while.

The main thing most of them want is their name in the book anyway, by the looks of it

EDIT: our simplest reward would be a wallpaper for their pc background, at least... The thing we'd make ourselves in the first place as a cheap reward.

We shortened the time you can submit your pitches, so instead of the March 31st it's until March 21st.

With this we can start the kickstarter a little earlier and people don't have to wait as long to hear if they made the cut either. We will be available at all times until the end of the completion time.

(post withdrawn by author, will be automatically deleted in 24 hours unless flagged)

Hi just a question! I understand that the finished product has to be a normal comic page but for the application is it okay to submit a scroll format page as an example?

Yeah sure! It's mainly so we know what kind of style you draw, and that you know how to make sequential art. ^^

This sounds great! Now to come up with an idea (already have one a bit).

Yaaaay

We can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! It's going to be so awesome

Hey folks! We started a discord server so we can answer your questions a little more directly, both before, during, and after the whole event.

Man, if this was about tea I would have SO MUCH to say about it lol I literally can't think of anything to do with coffee.

Awww :frowning:

Well if you have a story on tea you can always swap it for coffee in the comic?

oh naw, man, they are two totally different things. Also there's no such thing as bubble coffee lol
