So I'm starting a new series after a loooooooong hiatus but I'm trying something different. I used to create all of my comics completely digitally but what I'm doing in my new Snappy Toons is drawing the pictures on paper, taking pictures of them, and organizing them together in comic format.... Does that see like a completely terrible idea or have I done something new and beautiful ?_?
sounds great! i mean, i love sketchy looking pictures
then again, i guess it depends on the quality of the photo. A clear photo of the drawings would be wonderful! i think it is safer if you scan the drawings instead.
I agree with scanning. Unless you want to like cut the characters out and stand them up in like your house as the back ground. But yeah, scanning is the best. Scanners are pretty cheap now adays.
I do have a scanner. But just for the time being I'm just snapping them with my digital camera. Would y'all mind looking at my comic and telling me what y'all think of the pictures? If I can do it the way I'm doing it now, that'd be GREAT! However, if people don't like it, I'll start scanning it.
NO wait! it is fine! the pictures are clear enough for the readers
that is a funny comic you've got there. hahah
Thank you. I'm thinking I'm gonna update tomorrow and make Sunday my day to upload comics AND new YouTube videos
Yeah... Go with a scanner. the quality of those images is pretty poor... It looks a bit amateurish right now even though the comic is so good. The quality is deterring. You will get a better result with your scanner.
Where can I see your comic? I can't find the link for it, not even on your profile.

I had to search "Caleb" on tapastic.
Thanks @SaberCow tell me what you think @lillfrid I could use ALL the feedback I can get.
I think it would look better if you would scan the drawigns into the computer. It is visible that you made a photo of them instead of scanning them. Personally I don't like photos of a drawing, it takes away a lots of its cham, it is just not so nice.
I'm with lillfrid. Photos of drawings generally always look amateurish. Plus, you'll have issues later on if you want to color digitally or even publish them, since the camera likely won't give you a good DPI across the image.
I must admit that is original
It sounds good but it also depends on how good your camera is and how you are as a picture taker. I do the same with my comics except I copy them onto the computer and edit them in photoshop and illustrator. But I would like to see what you can do =D.
