Hello guys, my name is Tony, I've been making webcomics and doodles for more than a year now, and would like to improve my comic series. Submitted however, I feel like I should explain my answers some. I rated your strip at a low neutral because I feel that you have quite yet found your art stride. It looks like you're still experimenting and growing artistically and you're in that awkward funky stage and so close to breaking through to a design that's more commercially appealing. Keep up the hard work.

Also, I rated your caricatures low. Sorry. As an artist, I'm the wrong person to ask if I'd buy a caricature. Nope, I make my own : P However, I feel very strongly about setting a good fair price on commission work. Make it a price worth your time and energy, otherwise it'll suck your creative drive away.

Your humor is solid but I really think your digital work needs some refinement. You're just starting to show style, but it's not consistent. The biggest thing that gets me is the linework. It's very wobbly and flows poorly. It really needs some variation, in fact i think that's all it needs. You definitely have your own style, but especially for caricatures, it needs to be refined to get to a more professional state. I gave it a $10 because that's how much I'd probably pay for one of those picture-sized caricatures at the Pier. I'm really bad at pricing even for myself, so don't think much of it. You could totally sell your work right now, especially as a caricature artist, but I really think a little polish could send you a long way :Y

I tried to be honest as well. But if possible, could you maybe add an open-ended question that allows us to write our own thoughts at the end? Some of the answers I would have preferred answering a bit differently but I was restricted by the multiple choice. Given the opportunity to explain my choices would have been helpful.

That being said, I think the humour was good (got a good chuckle at John Oliver). I couldn't justify saying that I strongly agree with anything, particularly because of the wording of the choices (ex. "excellent"). The last thing is I said "no" to buying a caricature. This is merely because of the financial situation I am in, and I couldn't possibly reason with myself to buy something that wasn't a necessity at this point in time. My answer may differ when I'm rich and famous

I do want to state that I agree with what @CyndiFoster said about your art stride. Other than that, looks like you're on the right path.

Thanks Cindy for the in depth review, I truly appreciate it! You are completely right, I've been struggling to find a single art style, but now am deciding to finally stick to one. As promised, here's your haiku :):

Thank you Luie! I agree, line drawing is kind of hard for me, not so much with pencil, but I always have a hard time when inking my comics. Thinking of taking drawing lessons and trying out other inking methods. I appreciate your honesty, and the fact that you took a moment to even write a review, thank you! Here's the haiku:
I woke up early,
before my alarm went off,
but it is Sunday.

I did your survey too. I don't think I have much more to add than what other people have already told you but I hope my responses were useful to you. I also said I wouldn't purchase one of your caricatures but I didn't mean it in a personal slight against your style as I'm just not in the market to buy anything like that right now, I'm probably not your target audience for that kind of thing though.

Sorry about the lack of open-ended questions, thing is I tried the questionnaire with a sample of friends before, and none of them bothered to answer the open-ended questions (they weren't as nice as you guys I suppose). I do appreciate you taking the time to explain your answers, it helps me a lot to understand the reasons of your choises. Glad you liked the John Oliver cartoon, I'm a huge fan of the guy,

" Bernie is a snail,
Tried to climb the tallest tree,
Bernie will not fail".
(Bernie the sub-human snail is very inspirational)
