Please help, no one is reading our comic

Or maybe they already have a following. Yuumeiart for example already has preexisting followers so it's not surprising that it got a lot of followers when the webcomic was posted.

I think you expect too much mate. Patience. Most people get 1k followers after months of updating. The ones that has many subscribers in a matter of days most likely already have followers on other platform like instagram of deviantart.

Please be mindful that turning on the Mature filter for your comic will make it not show up for app users on iOS devices at all.

I don't think this is true? As far as I understand it, it's not the mature filter that makes your series unavailable. Your series becomes unavailable if Apple decides your content is too mature beyond what they allow with mature filters.

For example, my comic has multiple mature-tagged episodes, but my series became unavailable only because of one of those episodes.

Try to get your WebToons version listed on Comic-Rocket. It helps. The WebComics App also appears to add reads, but I never saw votes or comments from WebComics App.

well, that's pretty much the same end results that i meant? even a single M tagged episode can put your whole series at risk of being hidden from a huge number of potential readers? (and sorry you've been hit by this ; ( )

[ EDIT ] i would also like to add that, while still not confirmed(?), tagging your series as Mature on WT will make your series not show up to some countries in Asia, which is where a large majority of readers come from. It's a risk i wouldn't take tbh. Especially that you can only tag your entire series as Mature, instead of just individual episodes.

After two years I have whooping 27 subscribers. You aren't doing that bad yet, honestly, IMO.

Hard to determine what makes people subscribe to a comic usually the foundations start with:-

• You already have a following so they can subscribe as a start
• You market the comic via social media (again if you have a good follower count this helps)
• sharing your comic to forums or groups that like similar stuff?

Ive looked through your comic briefly - usually Im a sort that likes to look at visuals before committing to anything, however if the story is interesting then I dont see why not you'll get subs. Though me looking through the pages - it lacks backgrounds, a sense of world around the characters - you should probably look at other well subbed comics that match your genre and see why they are doing so well.

I actually decided to go through the two chapters and I didnt have a clue what was going on at first, I had to read it twice as some have said, chapter one drags on - its only two chapters so can not comment as much but I did not see anything that gets me curious to know what happens next

Making comics is something that needs a lot of patience and it demands you to be active. This means you have to run around on all possible places and yell: Hey, I have comic. No one will discover you, if you don't promote your stuff.

Second, I know people already said this, but it's not good idea to start out with history lessons. People came for story, not bunch of text. Try to improve on that.

I think people tend to start following more the more episodes you have posted, or at least that is what I noticed with my webtoon. Just keep posting and most importantly, have patience!

So i personally try go by a 10 percent rule of all my comics.
If my comic fist chapter gets 100 views i belive at least 10 of them should subscribe, if i dont get at least that amount thats when i start to look at my actual comic, whats wrong is it the art, is it the story.

If youre hitting this percentage but getting a low amount of views then i start to look at other things, why arent pepole checking out my comic, My suggestion would be to change your thumbnail make it more intresting, the second would be the discription of your comic. When im checking out comics the discription is the main thing to let me see if im intrested or not, is it unique will it grab my attention. Comics can somtimes be like songs you listen to the first 10 seconds before deciding if its your thing or not.

If you are at less then 10 percent then i would look at a few things, i can see a lot of effort was put into the intro art of your pages but the design of it isnt very apealing and hard to read, wehn i see it like many other pepole here they see it just as a wall of text with pictures next to art, you can make your text an art style and more intresting and tell less information at the beggning and mroe later on as the story continues.

One thing I had to learn is that hard work and developing strong skills are important traits to learn, but success requires being broken and rebuilt. I hope your comic is a late bloomer but if not, know that it's not due to your craftsmanship.

Its all about the right idea being available at the right time and place. It's not something you learn, just endure intil it happens

Actually I got like 200 two days ago. it has nothing to do with hack. it has to do with promotion and just like @lorphis said, if you already have a following its pretty easy. and I do have a following. not to mention, people have to be interested in the story you are creating.
