Been studying a lot of Usagi myself lately.

You got to lean into large areas of texture to really pull off a homage. His hatching is almost always textural not shading...which goes against my normal instincts.

You've nailed his tendency to place figures into much larger landscape/establishing shots.

I wanna see this finished... Come on man!

Lol yeah. His hatching is next level. Like even though the backgrounds are usually simple...that hatching is just daunting.

Drew this quick fan art for a streamer I follow's birthday last week! They're presently working on a comic but it hasn't launched yet, but I'm aboslutely in love with their edgy little crow boy, Sebastian :heart_02: It's been fun to watch the WIP on the comic while they stream, but I'm hoping it launches soon >: D

More boys. I'm sick and procrastinating working on the comic because being sick is making me dizzy distracting me from focusing (I have to do composition right now, which I need a functioning brain to do...) :cry_01: So instead I decided to draw my idealistic revolutionary. I am... ah. WEAK in the frontal view + shadows department. 100 bonus points to anyone who gets the SUPER ON THE NOSE reference on his forehead lol.
