Trying out a more sketchy style. The green blobs are my take on the yokai Hitodama. In an RP i'm hosting, these are the disembodied souls of mortals that were killed as the Yokai took over their world. The corpses were tossed into mass graves, and the souls were left to wander. Eventually, one Yokai comes along when the souls allotted time is up, she blows out their lights, then, another comes along and devours their bones from the mass grave, forever damning the souls to non-existance.
