I just finished chapter 76 of writing a chapter. And currently chapter 75 is due to release in 2 days! Crunch time I fell behind a bit! Like to stay ahead. Do you write a head and how far?

I have written up to "season" 2 of AngHell Dela Blackpill. "Season" 3 in outline phase. Every season has a different "big bad".

And I don't know how many seasons... depends on interest in the project combined with popular demand.

So I've written way far ahead in short. What you see in comic form only scratches the surface.

So I have like a break down the base of what the next chapter is looking to be.

Like if have read chapter Chapter 48 the Waymakers must save thee villagers before the chief.
(Like I plan ahead so I know where I am going.)
But right now I am on released chapter 74.
I am trying to have 2 months at a time wrote so like 16 to 20 chapters ahead before I relax cause life be life-ing.
I got behind 1 time I was late to publish I felt so bad!

I've just started writing, I update like once every two weeks so there's enough time for me to write the story.
It's not a great method though.

I'd like to give myself a buffer of at least a couple chapters in the future, but as of now, I'm only one episode ahead of the uploads (For reference, each of my chapters is usually 3-5 episodes).

However, in terms of planning, my general story outline goes hundreds of chapters into the future. I definitely know what direction I want the story to go and how I want the major arcs to conclude, and a lot of the writing process for me is just figuring out how to write a compelling story in between.

I started not liking the work I was putting out the more rushed I felt by my personal deadlines. I ended up not having motivation to write when my story went a direction I wasn’t loving (from my own pressure). Give yourself the time you need to put out the work you’re proud of!

I’m back to reposting my story. I’m adding chapters daily, until chapter 10, and then I’ll be posting weekly as I continue to edit and continue to write (while staying ahead with less pressure).

Though I don't have every single detail fully scripted out, I do already have some WIP scripts from the final chapter and the epilogue, which we won't be seeing for quite some time!

As for how many pages I have drawn in advance, uh. None. At the moment. I miss my buffer

I almost always start with an outline and short excerpts of key scenes for my stories—though in the end, the final version usually ends up being only about 30% of the original plan, with many chapters shifted around. I do this for inspiration, since I don’t usually begin writing without a clear intent. Reaching those milestone moments or “climaxes” helps keep me motivated. I learned from past experience that once I lose sight of that intent, I tend to lose focus and leave the story unfinished. LOL.

I started by figuring out my characters and their dynamics, then plotting out the most crucial points in their character arcs, so I have those crucial moments planned for the entire story, but I have a scene by scene outline prepared for the first season/book, so I can focus on the individual bits of dialogue as I go without worrying about setting up future plot points or writing myself into a corner. It’s also a lot easier to modify an outline if needed then fully completed pages.

I have my entire comic script completed. I had up to chapter 5 completed while I was working on and posting chapter 1. Then I completed the rest when I first started working on and posting chapter 2. (still going over and refining very teeny parts of chapter 3 now before I start onto its page work. lol)

My comic's main thing is being a mystery with things that come to a head at the end, so I had to make sure things were tight and fixed before starting page work! The last chapter still needs some revising, but it's much further away from where I am now with page work, so I got time. xD

I have written up to chapter 13 in the script and am ahead in drawing by 20 pages! I always leave a "break" after each chapter to allow myself to catch up if I fall behind.

I usually write one chapter per upload. However I brainstorm ideas for future chapters that could work in the current arc or a future arc.
Here’s how I write a chapter
Take a one day break from the novel. This way I don’t get too overwhelmed.
Read a couple of previous chapters and figure out where I want to go for the next.
Begin writing the current chapter
Make any changes that would fit the chapter better.
Check for grammar.

The story is figured from beginning to end, but I usually write and draw one chapter at a time. I then release these chapters in two parts.

The latest chapter is an exeption. I wrote it alongside the next two chapters because they are a part of a longer story arc.
