Rules are simple: Tell what made you start writing your story and how it relates to your novel. If you find a novel that seems interesting then don't hesitate to check it out. Enjoy.

I enjoy writing this novel 'Condemned to Death' as the reason I started was because I wanted to read the perfect novel made for myself. I'm a big fan of Reverend Insanity, Lord of the Mysteries, and One Piece so naturally I will be adding some similarities between these novels, but got no clue if it's gonna turn out great in the end. I'm a simple guy with a hobby.

I also wanted to have a MC that does evil or morally questionable acts to further his own goal which was inspired by the MC of Reverend Insanity but I decided to add a twist where his goal contradicts his evil actions.

So most of the main characters in ACG are D&D characters. When I started drawing, I practiced a lot by drawing these characters. Eventually, somebody made a fanart of two of them and called it "The Last Dance" It inspired a chapter. Later, another, and another. I did have simple backstories for all the characters and, weaving them together with the chapters based on fanart, I pieced together a story. I didn't dare share it until some people in insta asked where they could read more. :purple_heart:

I started writing my novel "Damsel in the Red Dress" for the True Love On Tapas Competition, but I kept writing it because I loved it so much. I was inspired by lots of parts of my own life and those of people I know. I wanted to dig deep into the emotions of my FL's recovery and tell the story of someone trying to push forward to keep living their life and dreams despite trauma, mental health struggles and a literal car accident that nearly cost their life. The more I learn about the characters the more I want to write about them. I started writing the novel's sequel because I knew I needed to write about the ML more and show the world behind everything that looks beautiful at first glance.

I started writing my novel "A Dozen Morning Glories" for a different competition, but I'm attached to it because of the challenge. The female lead is so different from me in every way it challenges me as a writer to learn to weave mindsets and emotions (or a lack there of) in a way that brings them to life. I think my goal or reason behind every story I write is to make my readers feel what my characters are feeling. This novel is particularly important to me I think is because I get to write the process of my female lead discovering her own emotions, since she doesn't really have them in the beginning, and over time as they grow stronger, the readers will get to feel them more and more along with her.

"Rigamarole" was made for a challenge I made myself, to write a whole novel from prompts, but the story itself stemmed from the single idea of a girl trying to save her best friend (who also happens to be her little brother) from his eating disorder. I'm passionate about the idea that having someone on your side is life-savingly important, so writing this bond and the gravity of having someone in your corner despite the chaos you're feeling inside is why this story is something I feel I HAVE to write.

The journey of Sins of Rikros: Ah’keim and the sin kin curse began with a somber and gloomy tone. Brandon Updike, the author, was grappling with depression and despair, living with his father and facing financial difficulties. The search for a job seemed never-ending. However, midst the darkness, a glimmer of hope emerged as he finally secured a job, albeit not a perfect one. This opportunity acted as a lifeline, pulling him out of the depths of depression. As time passed, the author and his father had to relocate, but he found solace in another job that fueled his passion for writing. Along his journey, he encountered an angelic figure while playing games, and he selflessly came to her aid in a challenging situation. Despite the hardships, he persevered in his writing and found joy in the process. Now, he lives a contented life, happily indulging in his greatest passion of crafting fantasy stories.

I wanted to write characters that weren't straight, lol. A lot of fantasy works don't have any main character(s) that are LGBTQ+ so I figured I write some. AKA, if there ain't it, Imma do it myself.

I just needed to get the stories in my head out of my head lol. I wanted a way to connect a few different stories and it turned into Echoes. I started attempting to make it into a comic, but found that writing was easier, my drawing skills are not that advanced.

I started my novel because I am inspired by a painting. I elaborated on the backstory but made it gay and asian. Also wanted to try my hand at making a hero who is neither strong or smart but just have a lot of heart. Sorry can't say which painting it was because it's a spoiler.

I guess I wanted to see what I could do. I was making up scenes & parodies & dialogue in YouTube comments and I often imagine conversations between people (sometimes real, sometimes imaginary). Having read voraciously for years, I guess I wondered if I could turn those quirks into something bigger. Well, I made bigger stuff but whether it's successful or not remains uncertain.

it was haunting me :sob: the story just spawned into my mind and wouldnt leave :sob:
check out Celestia: the dragons and dreams
its a story about finding past and dragons and souls and what not.

I was always fascinated by myths and legends, and for many years, I had a story in my mind but due to procrastination, only managed to write down the plot and some parts of the story. I hope that in maybe 10 or 20 years I could turn this into anime. I hope that when I pass away in the far future I could leave something behind.

Thanks. I have a list of novels to promote, but the first one, The Faerie Dusters, goes all the way back to the early 90s. I had just ended a rocky marriage and there was little left in my life but a job that didn't pay enough, and time at home with my cats.

My idea progressed from thoughts about a mood ring to skin that changed color to reflect the mental/emotional state of the person. It became an idea about colorful fairies known as the Shee who lived enclosed in one of eight fairy worlds separated from the human world. Few of them knew any of the Phrava magic, but Zamani knew it all.

Aloof at first, Zamani makes friends among the children of the Shee and embarks on an adventure that strands them in the world of the humans in the late 1880s.

I got the idea for my novel Empyreal Calamities while playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I've always been a huge Elder Scrolls fan and love how deep the lore is. And I've always loved fantasy novels like Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Game of Thrones, and The Kingdom of Thorn and Bone series. But I also like having a little drama and romance like a Final Fantasy game so I wanted a bit of that along with having a whole cast of characters instead of just focusing on two characters. The romance part will mostly focus on the BL couple, but the other characters will have their romance bits too. And the BL couple aren't the only LBGTQ+ characters in my story.

I began working on it about a year and a half ago and started posting this year. I'm just happy I've been keeping up with the updates. :smile_01:

And for my haiku collection. I started writing haikus randomly one day as a form of therapy. Since I had a lot of them written, I thought I'd post them on Tapas because why not? I'm surprised I have subscribers, likes, and quite a bit of views. I never thought I'd get half as many as I have now.:shook_01:

The pandemic and the loneliness that came with it made me start writing, in addition with Taylor Swift's evermore :))

Find out more about the Poppy Contract in Azure's second night in the Nunnery!

Letter Addressed To The Fire is a story told through documents, files, articles, newspaper clippings, journals, diaries, letters, and the likes, aside from the perspective of the protagonists. It explores loneliness and finding solace in a person amidst chaos and rivalry. See whether their relationship remains platonic by the end...

Please give it a try! Thank you very much!
