Promote my current comic via my inactive (but v popular) comic?

I guess this is something I could post in the "comics ionly in episodes" thread, but I don't know if I have the time to dig through all the replies on that post to find answer to what I'm dealing with here.

So I have two series on my tapastic. One is "Fanprology" and the other is "Tunes of Lycka".

Fanprology is where I upload remakes of my old one-shot stories I did long ago. It is currently inactive.
Tunes of Lycka is my current ongoing comic that I update once a week or so if I get enough time.

Fanprology has 1400 subrscribers and are still gaining more despite being inactive.
Tunes of Lycka has.... 74.

I'm pretty sure the reason is because Fanprology got picked by staff or became a daily snack on the app, I don't really know I wasn't around when it happened lol. In any case, that comic is still gaining more subscribers every day despite not have any planned updates for now.

Tunes of Lycka is my current project, with a longer story etc, but even if I make a post alerting my subscribers about it's existence etc, it barely makes any effect. People only seem to pay attention to "new episode" updates; the notification tab is pretty useless imo. Not even I can keep track of the notifications because it's lumped together with so many other things.

I want to upload a page on my Fanprology comic as a way to show my 14000 subscribers that "Hey if you liked these go check out my current comic as well!"

But would that be against the "comics only in episodes" policy? I mean it's not random fanart or promoting my patreon or other websites, it's just my other comic on tapastic. I've tried notifying ppl with wall posts but that seriously hasn't helped at all.

I think you can, but then again most of your subscribers have already seen it (when you start new series they all get heads up).

74 for Tunes of Lycka isn't really bad imo, especially since there's not yet so many episodes to your current comic. I'd just give it some time to find it's own audience. It takes longer if you don't get featured anywhere by staff. The story seems fun and your art is really nice, so I'm sure you'll be fine.

But if you do put an ad for it in the episode of Fanprology, Do it in comic form so they can get easier clue if they'd like it as well. That way it'll also be a comic so nobody can complain

I already prepared an image actually, but I could like include parts from the comic as a preview!

Oh yeah, I think it's perfectly fine to post an image gently nudging readers to check out Lycka! (I am subbed to that btw and absolutely love it!). Maybe you could even do a quick little one-shot about yourself updating Lycka more.

I don't know if I have time to make a one-shot comic just to promote my main comic. Drawing comics takes time after all :')

But like, what I really want to know is if this is ok to do? Like Idc how I do it, I just wanna know if this is OK by the mods.

Doesn't even have to be a whole one-shot, could just be doodley versions of the Lycka cast jumping around saying "Hey! Look over here!" and then link in the description, lol.

It should be fine once you delete it when you update Fanprology again.

And I've seen far more disruptive things in a comic, like giant Patreon ads that take up half a page or more!

When using your wall to message readers, are you sure you are enabling notifications?

You should click the bell symbol on the bottom right corner. Didn't get this at first so no one came by to read it.

Otherwise the one shot doodled comic to inform them seems perfectly fine.
You could delete it later. If they like one series, it's too bad they are missing out on the other.

In time you'll see your audience grow.
You might even get picked up by the staff again, who knows!
