Hi everyone!

I decided to start a thread promoting stories using ANY place in your story!

I'll start:

Newlands cricket stadium. It's an actual place in Cape Town South Africa. It is overlooked by Table Mountain and Devil's Peak. It is in Episode 24 where Tim will be playing his first match under a new club.

It has to be Nime's place. Purely fictional. That place has orchards, couches made from clay, elephant traps and so much more! It is in Episode 2

Well, my story takes place in Washington D.C. at the moment, but in later episodes the MC will be at home somewhere in New Jersey.

And wayyy later… he might even go to space?

Planet Zeal is imbued with powerful magic. It is everywhere from its atmosphere to its flora and fauna. Its climate is not unlike Earth except it has the presence of magic and it has two moon: a silver one and a gold one. The planet has nine continents just as its magic falls under nine categories (light, shadow, metal, blood, wood, air, water, fire and earth). Ironically the continents kind of reflect each of these elements.

My series takes place in a multiverse which is nestled in the branches of a huge tree that floats in an endless empty dark void. This tree is called the World Oak, and it has several worlds, such as World Lepsomai, which houses a city called Overchester which, much like other cities in that multiverse has a very tiered infrastructure - at the bottom you have the slums but as you go up, layer by layer, the people living there become more wealthy.

Wild Nights, Hot and Crazy Days takes place in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, on the east coast of Canada. Yes, it is really called Sackville. It is a large suburb of about 50,000 people located about 10 kilometers north of Halifax. The Google Map photo below shows current-day Sackville. It looks a lot different than it did in the 1980's. The area north of First Lake was woods (an important part of the story happened in those woods), the area west of the yellow line running north-south on the left side of the map, near Millwood High school was woods (and the high school didn't exist), Atlantic Superstore was a drive-in movie theatre, Sobeys Lower Sackville was a horse racing track (indeed, to this day it is called Downsview Sobeys, even though the Sackville Downs closed long ago). The small orange oval north and northeast of First Lake is the Met Field, where another very important (and very tragic) part of the story happened.

Mysteries of Amore is set at a fictional college beside a lake and surrounded by woods. The campus functions similarly to its own self contained town (including having its own post office, a bar, gym, "restaurant", movie rentals, and a store students can buy basics at) due to the nearest actual town being over 15 minutes drive away. Like most colleges, there are the usual legends and ghost stories which students enjoy sharing with new students since they're practically in the middle of nowhere. Between classes, there is always things going on and activities one can participate in, if interested. Go, Squirrels!

The temple of Saturn from Raikiri, the god of time and space.
Saturn's only notable legend revolves around her death.
"On the twelfth month, the world was destined to end. To prolong the life cycle, Lady Saturn sacrificed her body to reset the calendar to the first month."
Her statue's hand placement is meaningful in their culture; the open palm to the chest represents tranquility and balance, while the open palm faced to the sky represents charity, mercy and blessings.
She is also the god of fortune; pilgrims will tie a bell to Saturn's wheel and prey for good fortune (now sold at our lovely gift shop. No refunds). Some superstitious people will tie a similar wheel and bell outside their front door to achieve the same effect (also sold in the gift shop).

Uh, the Vague American Midwest...Which is not as far West as I dumbly thought...

I had wanted the Tryon chicken farm/rescue to be in a wooded area, same as the chicken plant, but I also wanted there to be mountains, so that the town- Greyhenna- could have the name Valley after it....and there's cornfields and farmland spread around, cause farmers...

So...somewhere between Kansas, North Dakota, and Ohio?

(I'm from Georgia, the peanut/peach state. I don't know what it's like out on the Range XD)
Least they get snow, which makes for a fun winter season on the farm!

Elsie takes place in Southeast England. In a fictional town called Smelton. It is close to Dover where the White Cliffs of Dover are.

Smelton is inspired by many seaside towns in this region of England. But the main real life town was inspired by Brighton. It is a beach town around that area. Here are some pictures from the 1890s I found of Brighton.

Hi! My story takes place in a fictional magic forest reffered to by the characters as "Beyond All Things". It's a mysterious place with talking birds and friendly trees, tea parties and dancing flowers. The characters follow a prophecy into the forest, hoping to find their lost heads. In my series, The Space Bum, mankind escaped the destruction of Earth, made the jump from the Orion Spur to the Perseus Arm, and settled on Terra. Of course, this is all far in the future. All locations are fictional. There are settled planets like Pendragon and Merlin. There are alien planets also. There are loads of aliens: iridescent gate builders, blue surgeons, werewolf slaves, spider overlords, and aliens just like us, only better. There are lots of new tech and weapons. The spirit of man is a constant, however, which explains the continuing wars and conquests.

My novel takes place in many cities based off of real ancient places. The one my characters have spent the most time in thus far, is called Pataliputra, the capital of the Indriran Empire. In real life, Pataliputra was built as a small fort city in 490 B.C. and expanded to become the capital for many empires in ancient India. I wanted to mix real world-places with fantasy to make a story where you could actually go to some places in the world, and feel as if you could find my characters standing just around the corner

A small mom n' pops grocery located in the MCs' hometown of Gunnhildr Way, within the island-country Heavensea. [fictional]
If youre a wrestling fanboy like Owen you'll have a blast witnessing all those adverts for the Warriors Expo (scheduled to take place in the coming weekend). Between those adverts are hints of patriotic decor and Independance Day sale signs. Sadly, after last night's horrifying occurences, neither Expo nor Independence Day seem likely!
