There are a few but I will focus on my main character: Mukhtar.

He got attacked by a Hippo-Lion:

While running away, he got clawed in the back but managed to escape:

Instead of informing his family about the wounds in his back, he kept it to himself and tried to recover with Alcohol and bandages. The result was painful at first:

The next day he woke up, he had a sudden pain in his back and began to check it on the mirror, His wounds are getting worse but he still keeps it to himself:

If things couldn't get any worse for him, he starts to have a fight with a bully, he beat but not without more pain in his back:

After some shenanigans, his once bully now would-be-companion warns Mukhtar about his back shirt turning red, his wounds opened again thanks to the brawl:

Thankfully, his brother bought a medkit, and his sister is an expert in such treatment:

The treatment was a pain thanks to his mistakes of using alcohol but he will recover for good:

Though he may still need a few check-ups, he will fully recover with a nasty scar:

Oho! Here I come with my angst gremlins.

For Addai, he'd been through a lot. He's an orphan who lost his family and relatives in a massacre that happened when he was six years old. He was the very last survivor and was admitted to an Orphanage his father left him before he died on the stairway. The only relative he still has had turned her back to him and he was left alone all these years. His story is very complicated, and the time I'll explain will come in Act II of the novel.
Ah, I made a comic for the Global Comic Awards about him and there are bits of his past hehe~

For Mine, he lost control of his essence, which his uncle had to craft a mask to make manageable. The mask worked, but here's the trick: when he loses control anyway, it activates a self-destructive process in which he dies to regain control and his human shell recovers. Mine died around six times up until now. Here's another trick: the mask sealed half of his powers, but also half of his soul and memories.

That's it for today

In the case of Astra, she lost her dad when she was only a little kid. I don't think there's any worse "injury" than that heartbreaking experience.

For Psychoborg, he has gone through a plethora of bad injures and some more than once. The worst one though that could have killed him for sure, but he was incredibly lucky it didn't was the injury that lead to him requiring that cybernetic vizor on his head. It actually is his "eyes". The short version of the story is that he got explosive shrapnel shot directly into his face from a mine that went off after someone stepped on it. Luckily, it was a defective mine so the explosion was small and the injury that should have taken out Psychoborg's entire head only burnt away his hair though it left a crater in the area where his eyes were. No injury he suffered comes close to that one.

Worst injury huh? Hmm....

There is one chapter in my comic series that one of the protagonists gets a broken leg during a wrestling match. As he recovers, he's able to bond more with his family; so some good comes out of the ordeal.

(Chapter 8 - The Dragon and Son)

6 months later

It's a huge magical out there for the Elven Crusader

The worst injury Caiden will face is broken bones from being smacked by behemoth, ogre-like beasts. He will be healed if he's healed by his new friend/soon-to-be-lover, Lisanne the novice leven mage.

Lisanne can heal herself well except for serious injuries. The worst mental injury she'll face is trauma whetherr it's her past life or seeing close to her killed.

In Glassflower: Ursa and the Scarf Squad, Setsune's spine has been snapped, I think her skull was cracked, she's vomited black goop, she almost got burnt to death, got encased in ice, and has emotional trauma from years of war and suffering, where she was almost executed and one of her friends deleted their save file on life. She's also caused many injuries like:
Throat wripping, eye stabbing, hole making, throat biting, etc.
