I'm a 21 year old African American woman born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Although dimples run in my family, I have the deepest pair. I love small animals, ramen, and building with legos. I tell corny jokes (both funny and not-so funny) and my favorite type of memes are the wholesome ones.
Right now, I',m a junior at University of Illinois at Chicago (or UIC for you Chi-town fans), studying to be an Electrical Engineer. I was inspired by my uncle, who's also an Electrical Engineer, and I made up my mind during the 1st grade. It's been harder than I anticipated, but well-worth it. In the summer, I'll be taking my second intern with Com-Ed. If all things go well, I might be looking at a career with them.
I have a deep love for music and art. I haven't paid much attention to playing music in recent years, but I sing, compose music, and play both the guitar and piano. I think it'd happen sooner or later since I come from a family that really loves their art and music (mom used to sing opera and my father composes music).
If anything, it was my father who influenced my love for story-telling. He's a story-teller himself, and often, he'd sit me down and create these amazing tales off the top of his head. Even today, he still makes them up, and he loves hearing the stories I create. It's a dialogue I definitely enjoy.
Been drawing since I was 3, and I've kept most of my grade school drawings in a big binder kept in my mother's room. In grade school, I started to post my drawings online, but my first attempt at publishing a webcomic didn't come until later years.
I create for the stories I'd like to see more of. I'm a big believer in "if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself". So when I'm finished with all of my work, best believe I will turn around and read through all of them, excited.
