Promoting your novel/comic by explaining your cover art

When I made it, I knew I wanted three things in it: Jaime, Jade, and their car. But I like the idea of showing minor personality traits in it as well?
Jaime is more reserved and cautious, so he's behind the drivers' seat. Jade's more rebellious and risky, so she's sitting on the cab roof. Both are looking forwards to the horizon and future, but Jaime's head is pointed away, while Jade's looking towards it. All in all, pretty happy with it! I think it gets the main points of the characters across!

Because the story is slow to warm up, I wanted to put the main theme on display immediately. It’s also a good size comparison for later pages where the two MC’s show up. I wanted to show off the Beast and his ‘shady’ personality as he steals the young woman and runs off into a dreamy forest at nighttime background. Unfortunately this doesn’t give a hint of what ‘Beauty’s’ personality is because I wanted her just to be surprised as the main heroin will be shocked by the magical elements in the story ^^

I wanted to include every important element in the story but it looks like a pirate adventure thing instead of a horror story. :,)

The parrot is the representation of Soledad's emotional situation, the bells around her neck represent the oppression at the doctor's house, and the flame itself is the supernatural factor in the story.
I'm not gonna talk about the background because, well...spoilers.

I did mine like this as I too want to portray the two main characters in a light that won't really be seen until things develop further, hoping it would provide just a little bit of insight on what is to develop for anyone starting at the beginning. BUT the biggest thing of importance to me was to include the most proliferate mecha design that shows up in the novel behind them as this is always the hardest thing to visualize (at least in my opinion) and without one, a mecha story in the form of a novel seems unfeasible.

As goes my struggle to figure out if my story is even any good or reader worthy as well as to find some way to get more exposure for the seemingly non-existent Mecha genre here and online in general without ever going down any fanfic route.

My cover shows you the dark and gritty nature of the city. The lights and the font are designed to be contrasting to give it that cyberpunk feel, at the same time, because the story itself is influenced by the film noir, it fits in pretty well with the whole idea of the story.

I thought that my cover explanation was easier, I was looking for a badass pose involving the main characters, but then I've found a deeper meaning!

"Annie's Solutions" is set in Britain at the end of the 1800s, so the style of the background and the chair is based on that.
The main characters, the uncle and the niece, are complementary and despite the differences, they share the role as main characters, supporting each other shoulder to shoulder.
Annie is younger and bolder than Scott, who is way more optimistic, her strong point is her knowledge and her smart deductions, that's the reason of the books in the background.

...yeah, but mostly is for the badass pose!

I chose this cover originally as a sort of marketing gimmick, in case a publisher ever snapped up the rights to Nixvir. It would have been implemented in order to fool older people into buying it, mistaking it for a novel. And so, when I decided to publish Nixvir on Tapas, I decided to create a cover similar to the one I had in mind.

I recently remade my cover. The original was similar, showing all 5 characters. I changed the composition however, making Roy (the blond guy) more prominent, since he plays a bigger role than previously implied.
Toby in tbe front is the main character of course.

The three in the background, Charlotte, Sophia and Randall also have their own stories in the novel. Charlotte is kind of a link for everyone, being an authority person.

Basically like the previous cover this is obviously inspired by Anime Covers/Posters, showing all important characters!

Here's my comic cover, which also happens to be my prologue cover. The comic starts in the spring of 1944, but Dutch's story really kind of starts in the fall/winter of 1943. He was shot down over Germany, and after being on the run for about a week, was eventually captured. While a POW, he ended up in the lab of Dr. Teudt, who was on a mission to create a serum that could turn someone into a superhuman. The comic cover is a shot from after he escapes from the lab, just before he realizes that Dr. Teudt's serum actually worked. It's because of this whole incident that Colonel Aldridge of the U.S. Army Medical Corps starts trying to get permission from the army to start a unit full of superhumans.

My cover is just my main character at her prime using magic, I just thought it would look cool I did like what you said about following your own beliefs and I think you represented that nicely in your cover ^^

So my cover just has the main character holding a clipboard with hospital papers from where she works. There's blood everywhere even on the papers (dirt too); this has to do with abilities the main character has, as well as a representation of little dark secrets the hospital holds. If you notice one of her eyes is sort of like a vampire's, because the series involves vampires and supernatural creatures.

So basically, my cover art shows her past self and her future self. The trees in the back represent her family tree. That has died in the future but bloomed and flourished greatly in the past.

Hello. I just recently posted a few chapters of this novel I am currently writing. I have used Wang Yi Bo and Xiao Zhan as reference for the book cover. It's basically a fanart. I stan The Untamed and Fanned MXTX, can't move on with this CP. Anyways, A Stray's Puppy Love is a BL set on highschool, fictional suburb in Taiwan. The shou is closeted gay, mama's boy, a little bit indifferrent, and talks a lot of bad words. The gong is a straight narcissistic guy who wanted to be close to him then used flirting as the means. Anyways, this is BL but I wanted to touch how family involvement could help a person be more comfortable with their sexuality. I tried to make it funny but I'm not confident with my sense of humor. Pardon me. lol. ((~_~)<3

There wasn't much thought put into mine honestly xD I just studied the book covers of other novels in Tapas and saw a common theme of the protagonist looking cool on it. So I decided to imitate it!
There's Shinichi, inside a pretty grey-ish world (the dream realm), holding onto a ball of light (or someone's essence).

A pretty simplistic cover showing off the main cast and their relationships with each other. Starting from the bottom, We've got Kiki and Terry being all chummy. Kiki's the closest with Terry due to their shared love for video games. That, and Terry's the nicest boy.
Then, we've got Kyo and Iori who, just like in their home series The King of Fighters, are bitter rivals.
And lastly, we've got Kazuya who refuses to associate himself with anyone. He'll come around

I do covers for every "part" of my comic, the most recent one is this:

the title "color context" is in reference to the way in which certain colors will appear different depending on what colors surround them. I chose this title because this part focuses on the characters backstories and their interactions, since they've all just met.

It shows the four main characters in front of their respective colors, the two main rivals, Maya (yellow) and Simone (Red) have their colors cross over into each others colors, which shows how they both piss each other off and see themselves/who they want to be in the other, which is why they can't seem to get along.

Also their respective symbols (Green Power button, Yellow heart, Red null set, And purple spiral galaxy) bleed into each other's colors, specifically the pairs who get along really well, Maya/Teru(green) and Simone/James(purple)
