Hi all. I'm mossiroots and I am the creator of WhiteNoise.

Lately, I've been wondering what's a good way to thank subscribers? What are things people wanna see creators do for extra?

Personally, I like when every now and then there is a page/episode of extra doodles or a "from the creator" post on small updates. I also feel like I'm not sure that would flow well with my comic? Unless maybe i did it in between chapters.

Anyway let me know what you guys like to see/do :smiley:
Here's my comic link- TW Horror, Gore, Blood, abuse (of all kinds). If that's not your thing don't worry about it still feel free to promote and talk here.

I like seeing extra doodles and tidbits from the story. For me, I like to do milestone posts and thank my readers. Sometimes I’ll draw something and post it (when I have time).

I think at the end wouldn’t be too bad, but if you did the, between then I would say make it longer than a simple thank you.

One thing I did recently was have back to back updates as a thank you

I'm adding .5 chapters to my novel talking about the world and the lore, so the readers get way more info about the world and is easier to understand.

Little side stories, doodles, or if you have interactive readers, you could ask them what they'd like (e.g. specific side story, a certain drawing, etc.)

I'm a novelist, but I still try and drop a few traditional illustrations now and then to show my appreciations for my readers. They seem to think it's pretty alright, lol. Did I mention I suck at drawing?

@foxnflames
I like the idea of doing milestone things. I wish there was a poll you could send out. like "hey thanks for subscribing vote on what you wanna see extra of!"

@Kuma lore would be fun to post. i remember watching animes wher ein credits they would put lore/ maps in and it would be fun to pause it and look.

The best way to thank subscribers is with splash are and the offer to do requests. At least, that is what I try to do when I can. I am a mother of a small baby so he ties my hands a lot lol. Still, that is what I would do.

Anyway, here is all of my work. Hope you find something you like.

@caelinalexis
i said this to faxnflames but I wish there was a poll you could send subscribers like "vote on what extra you wanna see/ find out about"

I subbed and will prob read it later tonight, and any doodle is a good doodle lol

I posted concept art and character memes at the 50 and 60 subs mark. I'll do a teaser for the next story arc at the hundredth sub.

Whenever I get a new subscriber, I usually send them this pic.

It's the little things that really make an impact on people's lifes. :smiley:

@Fuzzyman818
I've gotten a few of those- but I only noticed when I get on the computer to upload something. I normally use the app/ my phone. although I might be using the app wrong? lol

you could use your wall and share a post with a link to a straw poll or something!

I might be doing that in the future as well

other than that, illustrated Q n A are great!
as well as just nice illustrations of fan favourite characters :D.

I think a good way to thank subs would be by creating a contest (or at least that's what I'm planning on doing once I reach 100 subs), and giving them some space by promoting them and their works on an episode!
Another good thing to do would also be making fanarts of their characters or (if they don't have a series), accept their commissions.

Here's my comic:

I do special episodes to stay organized. Milestones are worth celebrating as their own showpieces in my opinion :wink:

That's a tough question. I haven't had to celebrate anything since I hit 50 subs. I just drew a cool picture lol. Maybe when my 1 year anniversary rolls around in two months I'll have a Q&A as I did for 25 subs. When I get to 100 subs, I might do something really special, like having an extra mini-episode just for the fun of it!

Personally, if I decided the subscribers needed a champagne shower I'd probably write a bonus chapter where it's got no relevance at all to the main storyline but it's still fun regardless, IE have your characters walk into a bar and tell each other ridiculous stories. Or, perhaps some deleted scenes if you're feeling like showing your entire hand.

I would do a Q and A for subscribers and also promote their fan art on my instagram. Another thing you can do is have your characters interact with them.

Here is my webcomic below for anyone that is interested.

These are all great ideas! I am close to hitting my hundredth subscriber threshhold, and I've been trying to think of something special to do. I'm definitely not an artist, but I like the idea of doing character fun facts and/or some worldbuilding lore. :slight_smile:

I personally have done special episodes in a Modern Day AU for my novels. I haven't done any for the one I am currently working on, but I have done it for my other one.
